pirates of the caribbean really introduced an eldritch octopus man who kills indiscriminately and torments the dead as their poster villain and then you watch the movies and it's like, "oh no, actually the worst villain in this series is a small white british man who functions as the herald of capitalism" and that was very very brave of them
I’ve gotta say I really love the way Rock & Roll are characterised outside of him being Mega Man. Like Roll is this smart and welcoming girl who’s canonically mean as hell out of nowhere constantly and Rock is a big sweetheart who sucks so hard at talking to people that every time he compliments a girl in the series it comes across as a huge insult and he is none the wiser to why they get so mad at him.
