a lot of people (at least on tiktok) try to make it out as if lights manipulation totally corrupted misa but she literally doesnt easily do things she doesnt wanna do even if he asks. she insists that they have dates every week and that he calls her despite the danger. she gets really whiny when he says they cant see each other or call often and she sees him in public multiple times even after being instructed not to because it would endanger the both of them because she simply felt like going to see him. and she threatened to kill any other girl she sees him with. she was also grateful to rem for threatening to kill light so hed let her stick around (for solely manipulative purposes ofc shed never kill light lmao)

the reason she so eagerly murders people for light isnt because his manipulation has totally consumed her and made her unable to protest against anything he asks. its because she literally doesnt care about murdering people lol which we see from the fact she murders people before even meeting him and offers to kill her innocent friend right after meeting him to his surprise because he hadnt even tried manipulating her yet.

Also my dad in a rare moment of emotional intelligence has noticed that I’m feeling down and has suggested we rewatch Death Note together (we did that once like 7 years ago or so)..

We’re on episode 10 and I’m madly compiling most of the hot takes that he dishes out during the show so be prepared for an upcoming compilation I guess

  • *chuckles quietly every time Ryuk makes a comment*
  • “I can’t believe you’re making me watch the intro again, he sounds like he’s gargling soap”
  • “*points at L* they could have drawn his feet better”
  • “Who is that?” “Ukita.” “He looks like Alfred E. Neumann”
  • *Abt the Task Force after L’s reveal* “Oh no, now they all just seem stupid in comparison”
  • *at the café scene* “oh great, now they’re just passing compliments back and forth”
  • “You know there is no way this little sugarcane could actually play tennis, right?” “Did… did you just refer to L as a ‘little sugarcane’?” “Well he is!!”
  • “No way an actual human could sit like that, you would loose limbs” “Yes you can, here let me show you-..” “Stop sitting like that, you’ll go all noodly!!”
  • “Don’t be so mean to [Matsuda], he is still young” *Matsuda gets captured* “I know what I just said, but he should die”
  • *sees second opening* “if you make me watch this again I will move out”
  • *silently watches L stack sugar cubes* “please let’s not discuss this after the episode ends”
  • “37 EPISODES???? I thought they were just going to kill each other and be done with it!!”

Things I’ve noticed are essential in plotting and would probably have saved me a lot of time if I had considered it earlier

  • The START of your story - how fucked up flawed is your premise/character at the start? what do they have to change? why are they HERE?
  • The END of your story - How do you want your main character/theme/universe to change after your story? Does it get better or worse? THIS SETS UP THE TONE DRASTICALLY.
  • What you want to happen IN BETWEEN - the MEAT of it. What made you start writing this WIP in the first place. Don't be ashamed to indulge, it's where the BRAIN JUICE comes from. You want a deep dive into worldbuilding and complex systems? Then your start and end should be rooted in some fundamental, unique rule of your universe (what made you obsess over it?). Want to write unabashed ship content? Make sure your start and end are so compelling you'll never run out of smut scenarios to shove in between scenes (what relationship dynamics made you ship it in the first place?).
  • The ANTE - the GRAVITY of your story. How high are the stakes? Writing a blurb or interaction? start with a small day-in-the-life so you can focus on shorter timelines and hourly minutiae that can easily get overlooked in more complicated epics. Or you can go ham on it and plot out your whole universe's timeline from conception to demise. Remember: the larger the scale, the less attached your story may get. How quickly time flies in your story typically correlates with the ante (not a hard rule, ofc, but most epics span years of time within a few pages, while a romance novel usually charts out the events of a few months over a whole manuscript.)

Have you ever looked closely at a car windshield?

The edge of the glass is painted where it is glued to the car but it has these small dots between the clear and painted glass.

These are there for a reason. When the sun hits the glass the painted areas and the clear areas will absorb heat at different rates. This causes the glass to expand and contract differently putting stress on the glass.

These dots help the glass to warm up more evenly over a larger area so the glass does not suffer stress that could cause it to spontaneously explode.

Fun fact: the Tesla cybertruck doesn’t have these.

Yes, the glass will spontaneously crack or explode in the sun.

As far as I know, she is the first woman arrested bc of this law. The law requires that the trans person be warned to leave the bathroom by a state official, and then if they stay they are guilty of trespassing after a warning.

So like, me, my gf, others just piss and nobody asks or tells, but this young woman sent a statement about the law to over 100 FL lawmakers so they would know she was coming, the cops were ready for her, she brought a reporter and went in anyway and spent the night in a men's jail. She is out on bail, and is hoping this will inspire change of the law. But if found guilty, and the law is upheld as constitutional, then she could spend up to 60 days in a mens county jail.
