25, they/he, big osemanverse enjoyer

updated introduction post!

(since it’s my birthday and i'm updating my age everywhere!)

hi, i'm rio! (i also go by nico and aled) i'm 24 years old and my pronouns are they/them!

i've been a fan of heartsopper since i was about 17/18, so about seven-ish years now! outside of solitaire, i was a little late to the game reading alice's other works because i was in college, so i started reading the osemanverse books in about 2021/2022.

my favorite book by alice is either radio silence (if you couldnt tell by the whole naming myself aled part) or i was born for this! (also self explanatory)

i hope to have read and finished loveless by the time my queue spits this into the void lol. (i did!)

some of my other interests include: playing stardew valley, d&d, reading (love historical fiction) reading/ writing fanfiction (klancer in 2024 🫡), collecting physical media (like CDs, DVDs, records, etc.), cameras, and listening to podcasts! (big fan of wtnv and radio rental)

my main is @httpsrioblr if you wanna follow! (i frequent pinterest if I’m not here!)

i'll also include links to my other blogs under the cut :)

i have a strong feeling that i am gonna delete this :,) but i had fun experimenting

I think an I Was Born For This adaptation would be super interesting if it was kind of like Kevin Can Go F**k Himself in the way the color grading and tone shifts when it’s in a different character’s perspective.

Like, from Angel’s pov, we’d have how she views the fandom world and The Ark and the color grading would maybe be a little too bright and colorful. It could even be shot as a stereotypical quirky teen show.

But from Jimmy’s pov, we’d have how things really are in the world outside of the fandom and the color grading would be dull and more like the real world and could be shot like a drama.

And when they finally meet in the bathroom at the m&g incident, we get a weird combination of the color grades and tone and eventually everything balances out when that interaction is over, indicating Angel’s realization that everything isn’t how she thinks it is.

Idk, reading this again and the perspective switches genuinely pan out like this in my head. I think iwbft would be an amazing show, or even a movie or limited series. I forgot how obsessed with this book I am.
