No, he wouldn’t put that burden on anyone else.  And yet, the offer coming from Martin was comforting."

"The tape recorder sat still on the center of the desk, taunting him. If Martin tilted his head just so, he could see it through his hair, long overdue for a cut and hanging down over his face, just daring him to press play. Oh, what the hell. If Martin was good at anything, it was rubbing salt in his own wounds.  He reached over, slammed the button, and buried his face in his arms as he crossed them over on the desk. Click. Whirrrrrr—"

Martin visits Jon's office one day before heading to the hospital. There is a tape there, waiting for him.

Day 3 of @jonmartinweek! Timeloop fic >:)

Summary:

There’s no doubt about it, then. Jon is stuck in a timeloop. The world’s most boring, frustrating timeloop, with the world’s most boring, frustrating man. He wants to beat his head into the table. In fact, the only thing that stops him is Martin’s unrelenting presence. Why? Why? Of all the accursed moments in his life, why did it have to be this one? He would rather it be literally any other! Well, with some limitations, but… He is absolutely positive that the average human person is not supposed to be exposed to so much Martin Blackwood for such a long time. Not that long, in actual seconds, but again, and again, and again, and again? Watching him say the exact same thing, with only the tiniest of variation, having his mannerisms and the tone of his voice practically driven into his skull? He will go bonkers, soon enough. He’s learning far too much about Martin than he ever wanted to. -- For Jonmartin Week Day 3: Timeloops!

(the jmart stuff isn't even in this chapter T^T), but I posted the first chapter here in this collection as well as a keep reading link that'll take you to the full fic. Currently working on chapter 2 and I'm bored at work for the next 6 hours so I imagine it'll be up soon lol.
