Hello everyone, I am Momen, 24 years old, a displaced person in Deir al-Balah, and I have a story to share with you. My life turned upside down since the conflict in Gaza began. Before the war started, I lived with my family in Gaza City. As the conflict began, we followed military instructions and moved to safer areas in the southern part of the Strip. In Rafah, we were forced to leave Gaza, but due to a lack of funds, we were not allowed to leave for safety.

So, we decided to work to secure our travel expenses. Moamen worked in the field of renewable energy and solar power, and his brother Karam was a graphic designer. My son couldn’t work due to heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, and his old age, but the constant displacement didn’t allow for it. We were allowed to stay in our work. Later, we were displaced again based on military instructions to Khan Younis, where we were subjected to heavy bombing on the tents we were living in, so we decided to flee once again to Deir al-Balah. An explosion in Deir al-Balah resulted in injuries to children, including Jawad and Mohammed. We couldn’t get them to a safe place for proper treatment. With the start of the conflict, diseases began to spread, including skin diseases, which affected the child Karim. Attached are pictures showing the appearance of polio due to water contamination, and Mohammed, who is 5 years old. He was diagnosed as paralyzed on one side after birth. He needs to continue his treatment and also requires eye surgery to restore his vision. He needs a lot of money, treatment, diapers, and suitable food, as there are currently no neurological treatments available in Gaza, and his health is deteriorating day by day. I ask for your help to save Mohammed’s life and to get him treated abroad as soon as possible.

My name is Momen Alostaz, and I am currently in Germany, while my family is in Gaza, occupied Palestine. I am writing this plea for the survival and future of my family and myself.

Our lives are in imminent danger, as Gaza is subjected to continuous explosions day and night, with tanks and artillery around us, and fear is our constant companion. It is an unending nightmare, persisting every minute of every day for the past 9 months. Every day is a struggle for survival. The lack of food and clean water creates a crisis of hunger and dehydration.

Despite this ongoing nightmare, we are a resilient and strong family. My parents have done everything they can to raise us, and we are very proud of what we have achieved.

I work in solar energy, and my brother Ahmed, his wife Iman, and their children Amir and Malak, as well as Mohammad, suffer from malnutrition due to food shortages, while Mohammad also has polio. My sisters: Reham studied human rights and law, my sister Montaha has lost her joy in high school, my brother Karam is a professional designer, and my brother Baha is a programmer. Although each of us is on a path to a promising future, our lives are threatened at every moment. We have already lost many friends and family members, and there is little hope that this situation will end soon. We are all waiting for our turn.

We are looking to apply for entry into Egypt. This campaign will help us cover the costs of doing so, specifically the evacuation costs for each person. Your donations will provide us with the chance to escape the endless terror we have faced over the past nine months and give us the opportunity to return to a safe and normal life again, where we can once again contribute positively to society.
