Citroën DS23, 1973. Parked on the Place de la Concorde outside a hotel where it seemed to be in use as a courtesy car. I would say the car had been extensively restored as it was in remarkable condition. I wonder how heavily used it is?

Books Are Soldiers

Books are soldiers gaily dressed, standing grave and tall, Like a halting regiment close against the wall; They have marched through many lands, over meadows green, Cities great and monuments and rivers they have seen; All year long they wait to tell you wondrous things they know If you'll only listen; — Soldiers in a row, Tell me what you have to tell, Of the things you know so well; Tell me, soldiers, gaily dressed, standing grave and tall, Like a halting regiment, close against the wall. by Annette Wynne

Green Velvet - Lofoten Islands, 2025

Since one or several photos never seem to be enough, here’s another shot from the Aurora display in Lofoten back in February.

This was shot again at Haukland Beach, which is just a short drive from Lenkens. Even before reaching our destination, it was possible to see the lights through the windows of the car. Not long after setting up the camera on the tripods, the Aurora exploded into a breathtaking display, painting the sky in green and red.

What a difference 61 years make juxtaposition of Mini Cooper S Rally, 1964 & Mini John Cooper Works 24h NBR, 2025. Mini has been considered an underdog in motorsports from the very beginning yet in 1964 thanks to the ingenious racing engineer John Cooper a Mini won the gruelling Monte Carlo rally. This was followed by two more victories in 1965 and 1967. This year, Mini will compete again together with Bulldog Racing at the 53rd edition of the 24 Hours race at the Nürburgring. Last year, a Bulldog Mini won the SP-3T class of the race with the near-production #317 Mini John Cooper Works Pro. This year the vehicle's black and white livery points to Mini's partnership with Deus Ex Machina.
