Can you imagine Angel during his Sunnydale days listening to Buffy go on & on about Cordelia did this and Cordelia said that & can you believe it?! and he probably just rolled his eyes and sighed in exasperation because could they just talk about anything else?

That man had no clue that Cordelia would be his everything.

#god the LAYERS here#bc he doesn't really care about her at this point. not as anything more than someone in buffys circle#but she IS so charismatic and entertaining it's hard not to be tickled#THEY'RE SO MUCH#and god is it wild seeing them in the early buffy era together and thinking#no matter how you feel about their romance#these two wind up being BEST friends#people who consider each other their family. their confidants their first call their co parent for a time#ugh i'm fucked up (via @loisfreakinglane)

#i miss the kind of television where two characters could be introduced and neither the writers nor the viewers#know that they will one day be so important to each other#it felt so organic#and we never see that anymore (via @queenofattolia)
