haha i wouldn't really say i have one! i don't ship characters much anymore. if they have fun chemistry together though, or are canon like lucifer and lilith, ill appreciate and explore their dynamic.

husk and angel stand out the most for me. they get on well, and have the most interesting stuff going on with their characters individually as well as together. lucifer and lilith are fun for me to think about too, but only when they're apart/divorced, given lucifer is still in love with her and is really depressed about the separation lol

#ray speaks#ask#huskerdust#lucilith#i wish i could include charlie and vaggie on this list because i think theyre interesting too but its all headcanon and speculation rn#charlie seems like shes being setup as a well-meaning and determined but overall kind of prejudice person#and vaggie i believe is being setup to have codependency issues with no real sense of identity#so i find that intriguing to consider#but the show hasnt really addressed that stuff yet. theyve only lain the groundwork down in bits and pieces for me to put together myself#which is fine. but it does mean i have a hard time connecting with their characters atm

since ive seen some people getting reallllyyy mad at sera: sera is not the bad guy here. she is making bad choices, but not because she herself is “bad.”

in the show, sera makes bad decisions with good intentions. it’s the same here. she is doing bad things because she believes “the end justifies the means,” even if the “means” includes unintentionally triggering lucifer’s ptsd.

i’m glad you all are enjoying the comic so far!! but please don’t assume i’m trying to make sera an evil villain here.

#sera’s primary goal is to protect heaven— aka her people#lucifer lilith and everything they stand for is a direct threat to her people’s way of life#their choices destroyed heaven as it was after all#and also while lucifer is not involved with it sera isnt WRONG about the uprising#her knowledge of what is going on is limited but it’s not entirely incorrect#which that would directly put her people and their way of life in danger#while her actions aren’t right morally#they are right in her mind

one thing i’ll say about the comic so far: not everything lucifer says is the “absolute truth.” i’m not saying he’s LYING and i’m not saying what he says is strictly “wrong,” just that maybeee he’s not the reliable narrator we think he is.

just keep that in mind 😏

#hazbin hotel#lucifer morningstar#hazbin hotel sara#hazbin hotel fanart#fanart#hazbin hotel comic#comic#rays art#i noticed that sera doesnt really call charlie by her name... shes 'lucifer's misguided daughter' or "daughter of the morningstar'#her identity only seems to tie back to lucifer in sera's eyes#its very demeaning and although i dont think sera even realizes she's coming across that way... i do find it very interesting#i like to think she does the same thing to lilith#lilith isnt 'the queen' or 'the first woman'... shes 'lucifer's wife'#and thus lucifer's importance is exaggerated and those related to him are underrepresented#especially since both charlie and lilith care about demonkind and have radical ideas#and while lucifer USED to be the same way... his sense of self has been crushed (at this point in time)#thus making him easier to manipulate#again i dont think sera even realizes this is something she's doing or taking advantage of as her intentions are not 'evil'#but its still happening#thats the consequence of a 'the end justifies the means' mindset
