Ooh, imagine Maddie having a younger brother who she was raising and became a spy to get more money but since she died, her younger brother became homeless and he ran off to Piltover where Caitlyn finds him as a thief as he’s the same age as Vi when she was with Mylo and Clogger. Like he’s 13 years old and Caitlyn decides to take him under her wing as her ward. At first she’s rough on him when she finds out but realizes she’s projecting her anger for Maddie to her kid brother who had nothing to do with it.

Zemeni Extended Universe

After two years and some change, my long fic centered around Jesper Fahey, Leoni Hilli, and Novyi Zem is finally complete! It takes place Post-CK, through KOS, and after that. It is canon compliant through then, but not Rule of Wolves. If you would like a dive into Novyi Zem, and worldbuilding at large, please consider giving it a read! Here are the parts:

  • Not Everyone Can Aim Rated T Word Count: 51,535 Main Character(s): Jesper Fahey, Colm Fahey, Original Characters Side Character(s): Wylan van Eck, Kuwei Yul-Bo Summary: After the events in Ketterdam, Jesper finds himself at a loss. He travels back to Novyi Zem to spend time with his father on the jurda farm. He focuses on healing wounds he didn't know he had, against the backdrop of changing Zemeni politics in response to Ravkan imperialism and Jurda Parem.
  • Jurda, Gold, and Invisible Ships Rated G Word Count: 6,516 Main Character(s): Original Character, Kuwei Yul-Bo Side Character(s): Isaak Andreyev Summary: "We need the Zemeni at sea..." pg 431 Atiena Kaboyonga is the daughter of an Ambassador and a member of the Council of Elders in Novyi Zem. A powerful zowa in her own right and ammassing a resistance against colonialism, she has used her oratory gift to unite zowa and different regions of the country, creating her own network of spies. Novyi Zem has been the victim of terrorist activity and when the Ravkan Throne announced they would be searching for Nikolai's betrothed, she leaps at the opportunity to discover more about the insidious politics East of the True Sea. Masquerading as a prospective bride with the Zemeni delegation, she makes the journey for information. Armed with intel from Jesper about a Shu grisha named Kuwei, and a sharp eye, she dives into the world of Ravkan politics.
  • The Girl of Many Names Rated T Word Count: 38,507 Main Character(s): Leoni Hilli, Adrik Zhabin Side Character(s): Nina Zenik, Nikolai Lantsov, Tamar Kir-Batar, Tolya Yul-Batar, Nadia Zhabin, Genya Safin Summary: Novyi Zem, being concerned about the relationship with Ravka and the strength of their treaties amidst brewing politics, has embedded Leoni as a double-agent for years. She rose through the Little Palace and eventually worked in the Hringsa Network. Adrik Zhabin has seen the worst that war has to offer, but instead of staying in a cushy position in Os Alta, he travels north to Fjerda to help ensure other grisha have a chance at safety, where he becomes a Commanding Officer. The two of them deal with the events and fallout of King of Scars, while navigating the feelings for each other and the global politics that entrench them.
  • Bullet in the Chamber Rated T Word Count: 87,356 Main Character(s): Jesper Fahey, Leoni Hilli, Adrik Zhabin, Original Character(s) Side Characters: Kuwei Yul-Bo, Colm Fahey, Wylan van Eck, Nikolai Lantsov, Kaz Brekker, Inej Ghafa, Hanne Brum, Magnus Opjer, Zoya Nazyalensky Summary: Jesper has been changed. On every level, since he first came home to Novyi Zem, everything about Jesper Llewelyn Fahey is fundamentally different. He is navigating his relationships, his shifting power as a zowa, and the world of politics. Novyi Zem is on the brink of war with Ravka, Fjerda, and Kerch, and he is involved in the heart of the conflict. Everything in his life has been leading to this moment, since even before his parents met. Leoni has left Ravka - her home of several years. But Adrik followed her across the True Sea, and now they are becoming major players as the Council of Elders make their moves. Leoni and Jesper are on a collision course that will upset international politics between nations and their lives are intertwined in ways they don't yet know.
The two lovely women were then seen picnicking together, at one point lying on the ground while Zoya manipulated the clouds.

I painted this for @zemenipearls ‘s wonderful fic Lady Thistleup’s Os Alta Society Papers - A Grishaverse Bridgerton AU! Please go give it a read. When I say your mind, rent free - I mean it. @grishaversebigbang

fabrikators are the strongest

some thoughts i posted on the grishaverse reddit and decided to share here too

I saw something that said that grisha could alternate between which part of their order they are in (e.g tidemaker to squaller, tailor to healer, etc.) depending on training?

If that's right shouldn't Fabrikators be the strongest? (In general. I know Ravka doesn't really find them too important yet)

Durasts seem to be able to control anything solid, the body is solid (and liquid but i'll mention that later) so under training they should be able to things similar to the Corporalki (minus the emotional aspects since the release of chemicals is more of an Alkemi thing, but of course there's not too much of a difference between the two types of fabrikator) and possibly Etherialki, due to Tidemakers being able to turn water into ice, which is a solid.

Alkemi can manipulate toxins and explosives, but on a chemical level there's nothing specific that makes some substances toxic and other's not: anything can be toxic if you have the right amount of it, and explosibility is very similar to flammability except with a lot more confinement pressure. With pretty much everything being able to be in those categories, Alkemi should be able to move through any of the orders under the correct training, especially the Etherialki order.

Leoni being able to manipulate the river of toxins (again, i haven't read the book but I believe someone said that it happens?) and Aditi removing the contaminated water from Leoni are good examples of both types of Fabrikator going into Tidemaker territory, and from there it should be a bit easier to control blood and other bodily fluids which is Corporalki territory.

I think that if this is the case, Zemeni people probably find the Materialki the most gifted Zowa since they already don't differentiate between orders which means that in the Zowa schools, it's most likely that they teach things very generally and a student probably chooses a path of study based on what they do best, which could be anything for a Fabrikator.

Also let's just remember that a Fabrikator is the reason for the amplifiers and Shadow Summoners (so by extension the reason for the Fold and monsters). And a Fabrikator made the drug that can kill all non Grisha who take it and alter/amplify Grisha abilities. (Imagine the power they could have if a fabrikator learned how to mix merzost with jurda parem- i actually have an au where one does so, or she tries at least)

Morning Doodle: "'Of course you do,' said Adrik. 'If you can find a way to put a sunny spin on something, you will.' It was true. Leoni was like cheer in a bottle—and not even months in Fjerda had dimmed her shine." Leigh Bardugo's King of Scars Ch 3

Hello! 👋

Are there any standout dubbing performances where you prefer the Portuguese version of a show or film scene?

Omg I'm so glad someone gave me a excuse to talk about this.

I actually prefer to watch things on their original idiom (with Portuguese subtitles off course) but there are 3 exceptions:
