GAH (hi there)

Im making a big ass thing on notion

Basically, it is a giant catalog of therian and otherkin gear.

From ears and tails, to collars, to wings, to horns, to fins, to clothes, all of it. (Everything I could find at least.)

I have it separated by therian/otherkin, canine/cat/aquatic ect and devinekin/demonkin/darkkin ect.

Then, it's by type. Wild cat/domestic cat/other. Wolf/domestic /other. Ect.

Then it's by exact species. Timber wolf/snow wolf/coastal wolf. Stuff like that. For absolutely everything.

I'm trying to get as many kins as possible so everyone can use this, so please, comment your kin so I can make sure it's there. (Especially if it's a rare one!!)

ill add links and pictures, make sure they are not from harmful fur farms, make sure the quality is good, all of that stuff.

But yeah. I'm super excited for when it's done tbh, and I hope a lot of people see this. (Please reblog :'))

I'll put some pictures of what I have done right now.

Every 21st century piece of writing advice: Make us CARE about the character from page 1! Make us empathize with them! Make them interesting and different but still relatable and likable!

Every piece of classic literature: Hi. It's me. The bland everyman whose only purpose is to tell you this story. I have no actual personality. Here's the story of the time I encountered the worst people I ever met in my life. But first, ten pages of description about the place in which I met them.

Modern writing advice: Yes your protagonist should have flaws but ultimately we should root for them and like them from the beginning :)

Charles Dickens: Here is the worst ugliest rudest meanest nastiest bitch you’ve ever met in your life.

Modern writing advice: Make sure your POV character goes through a significant arc! Make sure they are changed by the narrative! Make sure they learn a lesson!

Narrators of every book of the 19th century: the lesson I learned is these people fucking suck, sayonara you freaks

Modern writing advice: It’s all about the character overcoming obstacles and learning! They learn their lesson so they can fix their mistakes and make good choices in the future! It’s a character arc! It’s called growth! Readers love it!

Everyone from ancient times through the 19th century: would you like to watch a Guy fuck up twenty times in a row

Poison list

While it's important to approach writing with creativity and imagination, it's crucial to prioritize responsible and ethical storytelling. That being said, if you're looking for information on poisons for the purpose of writing fiction, it's essential to handle the subject matter with care and accuracy. Here is a list of some common poisons that you can use in your stories:

  1. Hemlock: Hemlock is a highly poisonous plant that has been used as a poison in various works of literature. It can cause paralysis and respiratory failure.
  2. Arsenic: Arsenic is a toxic element that has been historically used as a poison. It can be lethal in high doses and can cause symptoms such as vomiting, abdominal pain, and organ failure.
  3. Cyanide: Cyanide is a fast-acting poison that affects the body's ability to use oxygen. It can cause rapid loss of consciousness and cardiac arrest.
  4. Nightshade: Nightshade plants, such as Belladonna or Deadly Nightshade, contain toxic compounds that can cause hallucinations, respiratory distress, and even death.
  5. Ricin: Ricin is a potent poison derived from the castor bean plant. It can cause organ failure and has been used as a plot device in various fictional works.
  6. Strychnine: Strychnine is a highly toxic alkaloid that affects the nervous system, leading to muscle spasms, convulsions, and respiratory failure.
  7. Snake Venom: Various snake venoms can be used in fiction as deadly poisons. Different snake species have different types of venom, each with its own effects on the body.
  8. Belladonna: Also known as Deadly Nightshade, Belladonna contains tropane alkaloids such as atropine and scopolamine. Ingesting or even touching the plant can lead to symptoms like blurred vision, hallucinations, dizziness, and an increased heart rate.
  9. Digitalis: Digitalis, derived from the foxglove plant, contains cardiac glycosides. It has been historically used to treat heart conditions, but in high doses, it can be toxic. Overdosing on digitalis can cause irregular heart rhythms, nausea, vomiting, and visual disturbances.
  10. Lead: Lead poisoning, often resulting from the ingestion or inhalation of lead-based substances, has been a concern throughout history. Lead is a heavy metal that can affect the nervous system, leading to symptoms such as abdominal pain, cognitive impairment, anemia, and developmental issues, particularly in children.
  11. Mercury: Mercury is a toxic heavy metal that has been used in various forms throughout history. Ingesting or inhaling mercury vapors can lead to mercury poisoning, causing symptoms like neurological impairment, kidney damage, respiratory issues, and gastrointestinal problems.
  12. Aconite: Also known as Wolfsbane or Monkshood, aconite is a highly toxic plant. Its roots and leaves contain aconitine alkaloids, which can affect the heart and nervous system. Ingesting aconite can lead to symptoms like numbness, tingling, paralysis, cardiac arrhythmias, and respiratory failure.
  13. Thallium: Thallium is a toxic heavy metal that can cause severe poisoning. It has been used as a poison due to its tastelessness and ability to mimic other substances. Thallium poisoning can lead to symptoms like hair loss, neurological issues, gastrointestinal disturbances, and damage to the kidneys and liver.

When incorporating poisons into your writing, it is essential to research and accurately portray the effects and symptoms associated with them. Additionally, be mindful of the potential impact your writing may have on readers and the importance of providing appropriate context and warnings if necessary.

Quick note that most snake venom doesn't really do much if it's ingested. You would need a lot of it or to have a scratch in your mouth or stomach where it can access the body easier. The venom is meant to be stabbed in the prey through their fascinating syringe like teeth.

But if you like put the venom from a common european viper (Vipera berus) on a dagger and have an assassin stab someone with it... That would work.

The wound will be painful and the cells that came in contact with the venom will start dying. The character stabbed will most likely die of sepsis caused by the cells dying and the tissue necroticing as the venom isn't all that lethal for healthy adult humans, but you should go to a hospital if you do get bit by a spicy friend. Snake venom makes for a bad poison if you dump it in tea, but when it gets stabbed in, then it becomes fun

Also, PSA: Never kill snakes, not even the venomous ones. They control harmful pest populations for you, and are more scared of you than you're of them.

This repost is mostly so I don't lose this in my liked posts, but like, YIPPEE ✨✨

I don't like watching/reading things if a whole fuck ton of people are watching/reading it, idk why. That's also why I never got into Harry Potter lol.

Its less of me being able to withstand peer pressure, and more genuine stubbornness-

Friendly reminder that if someone tells you that they are a therian that doesn't mean you have the permission to tell other people 🥰 if someone tells you privately that they are a therian, that means they only want you knowing, and you dont have the right to tell other people.

👁️👁️

This.

Yo I was looking through my reblogs and found this person that just reblogs therian/otherkin or DID systems posts and just makes fun of them.

And I'm like

So confused?

Idk, I don't personally take it to heart since I'm so very aware of all the hate therians/otherkin get, and I'm just used to it. But this person is kinda a dick lol.

Just thought I should bring it up. Kinda funny that all they do is make fun of people who are living better lives than them. Get a job loser-

Sorry these kinda things make me g i g g l e

Anonymous asked:

What are some of the dog breeds you have so far? :0

I have screen shots to show you! >:)

(because no I'm not writing these all down my fingies hurt god dAMNIT-)

Anonymous asked:

Thank you for working on the project even tho you're busy! But do please take your time! We can wait, it's okay.

Yes of course! I hate keeping people waiting tbh, it makes me feel all icky. Especially when it's something that can genuinely help people.

But I do understand that if I work too absolutely hard on it it's gonna make me wanna jump off a bridge, and uhhh, don't really want that lol. I would prefer to enjoy working on it ha.

And thank you for the reminder, really does help me to know that people are okay with waiting. I've always been a people-pleaser type person so it's difficult to keep people waiting └|∵|┐♪♪┌|∵|┘♪

Any updates on the notion catalog???

Just started to work on it again, school came up and I didn't wanna have burn out. (Or worse, those passion for the project and never want to do it again. That would suck really bad-)

But, there should be some big updates soon :>

Anonymous asked:

hows the notion project going ?

Pretty good, though I took a break recently because of school. Getting back to working on it though!

Saw you were looking for some more specific canines so if you could add a Dhole that’d be great! Im a questioning dhole therian and hadn’t been able to find pretty much anything on them in the therian community. :]

Oooo! I'll definitely add that then! It always sucks to hear that people can't find gear for their kin type, it always makes me feel sadd :') (Literally why I'm doing this project lol)

Anonymous asked:

I'm not insectkin, or a insect therian.

but is there any spiders or spider stuff on there?

and is there ducks? or platypuses on there?

or octopuses?

random ones I know, also fish in general like eel's and sharks.

um that's all I have.

I've got spiders, yesss. The others I'm not 100% sure I have, but I'll make sure there on the project for sure! And yes yes I have so many fish on their- and e e l s. I'm an enjoyer of fish or any kind of marine life, so I kinda went a little feral when writing that apart of the project lol.
