i hate when something happens and people start with the "dont trust ur idols" and "all idols are terrible people and u shouldnt think otherwise" posts ...... i think it’s normal to think ur favourite idols are good people and we shouldn’t be blaming fans who are shocked and upset by the news. ofc they can get fucked if they’re defending him but tweets like "all idols are secretly awful" are not helping anyone. i think it’s good to believe people u meet / know / look up to are good people unless ur proven otherwise

#^^#i have many thoughts on this situation but i’ll leave it at#if you defend him in any way you can unfollow#and there’s nothing wrong with thinking your faves are good people to an extent#but of course if info like this comes out about other idols be sure to believe the victims rather than participating in unhelpful discourse#i think trust is an inherent part of being human so believing and trusting that your faves are good people isn’t a bad thing#people can be bad people without showing it to others#so trying to drag other members/idols into it isn’t worthy discourse#if people like him can fool the public they can still fool the people closest to them too#so i agree with op that people shouldn’t be shamed for thinking the best of him or other idols#and in the same breath also not putting them on some untouchable level is also necessary
