To begin our story, it is important to introduce my family, who are the core of my existence and the source of my strength during these turbulent times:
MOTHER : My mother lost all of her family in this war, starting with my uncle Amer, his wife, and his children, who rose in the belt of fire over the city of Tal al-Hawa, then my other uncle and my other aunt died!! I don't know how my mother's heart can be patient with this affliction, but I ask God to give her patience and strength
FATHER : My father also made many sacrifices when he lost his home and his job as a teacher, and his nephew was martyred at the beginning of the war. He is also strong and patient 🙏🏼
BROTHER : My brother Muhammad, who remained in northern Gaza, struggling with hunger, killing and destruction, also lost his place of work and many, many of his friends died
SISTER : As for my spoiled sister, she lived the war while carrying the entire house on her shoulders. She lived the war from displacement to displacement and from tent to tent
ME : As for me, Mahmoud, I also lost my studies after the occupation destroyed my university. I created this campaign to compensate us for a little of the damage we experienced. What we experienced is priceless at any price, but today I am asking you for a small donation of $10 that may contribute to saving us and our family from disappointment and the hell of war. We lived to build a new home for ourselves and the beginning of a new and beautiful life
I have lost the lives of my dearest friends, neighbors, and much of what I loved.

After all the harsh circumstances we have been through, horrific events, but they will not destroy us, but rather they will make us stronger. I and my family saw death. Repeatedly, beginning in Al-Shati camp, where we live, then after that in Al-Shifa Hospital, to which we were displaced, and then, and then, passing through Khan Yunis, where the occupation did not leave a single house, and finally in Rafah, from which we were forced out a month ago. We are now living in a tent in Mawasi Khan Yunis, in harsh conditions. It is very difficult due to the summer heat, food shortages and water scarcity.

in high school maybe 11th grade i had a colleague ask me. "iran? arent they poor just living with camels and in the desert?" i legit think its what yall believe

^ This is the message dear Siraj @siraj2024 asked me to share with you all. Siraj and his family were forced to evacuate *6 times* since October, and they now need to relocate again. To do so safely, they need $10,000.
His campaign currently sits at $8,420 of $82,000 target, with a short term goal of $10,000 for this evacuation. Please DONATE to help him get to his goals and get to safety with his family, and share so that more people can do so.
There are currently an art commission raffle as well as a special edition book raffle benefiting Siraj's campaign right now. Please consider entering both.
Siraj's campaign is on Hussain and Nairuz's Vetted fundraiser list [No.219]

I apologize for what I am about to ask. I have a heavy and exhausted heart. Unfortunately, the situation became difficult after my father injured, and my father's health condition deteriorated
donation of only 20$ from each person, 20$ will save my family from death in Gaza
I lost part of my family, my home and everything
I do not know whether I will survive or die in this war, but I know that your help will contribute to saving my family from death.

hello aseel! thanks for your message.
Hello again, I am Aseel from Gaza, I live in war, fear and destruction, we have been living for almost a year now but we do not know how long, we have been displaced from our home more than 11 times,
every time I was displaced to another place I prayed that this would be the last, but then came the idea of forced exit to search for safety where there is no safety, we got very tired and our bodies were exhausted, we no longer had the energy to continue, we lived hunger, thirst, cold and all the difficult conditions that humans cannot imagine,
we did not imagine that a day would come when we would live all of this, I lost my family and my childhood home, even my friends are no longer there, I was left alone!! I am looking for salvation from death, I fear death and I dread it, the idea is terrifying to leave your dreams, ambitions and the life you planned for and go from this world, we do not deny death but we do not want to live it now,
I had a beautiful life, suddenly I do not know how I lost my life, we live in a tent that can only accommodate 3 people, made of nylon that no human can bear, just standing in it for more than two minutes during the day is enough to melt you, in addition to insects, diseases and lack of privacy, imagine all this!! Can you live??
Things here are more difficult than you imagined, reality is painful
We wake up every day to the smell of death, I have been surrounded by tanks and helicopters more than 4 times, each time I do not know how to survive? It seems that my death has not come yet
I do not want to die!! 🥺
Please help me save my life and get out of here, life is impossible
Your donation will save my life, it is the only way, hand in hand we can achieve the goal please
ASEEL IS CURRENTLY EVACUATING FROM HER LOCATION TO A "HUMANITARIAN ZONE"! She told me and showed me videos of the tanks that are approaching her location. She's running right now and told me to pray for her and keep sharing her fundraiser while she had no Internet. PLEASE DONATE TO ASEEL! If you need more of an incentive to donate, I am hosting an art raffle for her! PLEASE HELP MY FRIEND!!!!!

i dont think usamericans rly understand how prevalent their culture is. english is taught in schools. we hear about usa news, watch usa shows and movies, know usa actors, read usa books, listen to usa music, have usa brands. i have a shirt somewhere with some usa flag motive from like 15 years ago. cant remember why i even have it. why were they even selling that in croatia. your books and culture are everywhere, you dominate social media, and then come on here whenever someone gives even a middle criticism and act like spoiled children because someone wants you to open an atlas
Partially related but a lot of usamericans also love to pull the whole "You just don't know how bad things are here. We have food deserts and a shitty education ststem and no opportunities for disadvantaged people and fascism and etc. etc." whenever you criticise them or say that they benefit from imperialism or anything like that.
1. We all know about the problems the US has. You guys dominate political discourse too. You can't take two steps in any political space on the internet without hearing about the socio-economic problems of the US.
2. Many countries have the same problems. Many countries have the same problems but worse. Many countries have the same problems plus a bunch of extra problems on top. In many cases due to something the US has done and continues to do to this day. You are not exceptional.
3. Having socio-economic problems does not stop you from benefiting from imperialism. It does not stop your country from being the imperial core. It does not stop your country from holding a cultural and economic hegemony over most of the planet. It also does not excuse you from thinking Egypt is in Eastern Europe. It does not excuse you from joining the US military or working for Raytheon or Lockheed Martin just because you're queer or whatever else.
people have said this better and earlier than this. but this is NOT NORMAL. boys who are 16, 17, and 18 should not be forced to carry this burden, to feed themselves, their family, and everyone in their neighborhood. iof is pushing people from eastern Khan Younis into the western part of the city, into al-Mawasi where iof massacred over 100 Palestinians and besieged the camp for weeks just last month. please keep up to date to everything happening in Khan Younis in the following days. I am extremely worried.
please please please if you have anything you can spare donate to Shaima and Muhammad’s family. donate to helpgazachildren, a grassroots initiative to feed and clothe children across the Gaza Strip. donate to families currently in Khan Younis worrying for their sons and fathers until they return with food, hopefully unscathed.
speaking to siraj (@siraj2024) earlier today, he told me that he wasn't able to make the trip to a wifi hotspot and promote his campaign yesterday — or continue his tireless updates on the state of things in gaza — because his little boy has contracted a serious infection, one of the many illnesses spreading through the refugee tent camp that the family are stuck in. siraj, his wife, and their two very young children need a safe shelter, now.
support from people on tumblr meant siraj's fundraiser was able to reach its 2nd goal of $20 000 CAD, and now we need to help the abudayeh family reach $30 000 CAD. (siraj hopes to meet this goal by sunday 11/08.) the money will go toward food and medicine, but more importantly toward building supplies that siraj will use to rebuild his home and create a safe shelter for his family.
if you're able to donate, please do. otherwise, please reblog, or else reblog one of siraj's own posts. (by the way, if you're american, your $5 donation is actually nearly $7 CAD. your money goes a LOT further than you guys realise. and any donation helps.)
