I want to reiterate the fact I think that Rise Leo and 2003 Mikey are eerily similar in a lot of ways. To those who write Leo as all silent and a shell of himself after krang- I respect you but here me out: he still is a flamboyant king with Issues ™️ and very much in denial/uses humor as a coping mechanism…kind of like 2003 Mikey, right?

T-May-NT Day 11: Favorite Splinter

This one was such a tough choice, mostly because I just rewatched through 03 and that absolutely solidified 03’s Splinter as my favorite because I LOVE him. Especially his arc in season five and his dynamic with Hamato Yoshi… I LOVE this Splinter!!

But also I’ve just started watching through ‘87 and if there is one thing that’s stood out to me, it’s Splinter!! He’s HILARIOUS, not to mention an amazing Sensei!! After being so attached to later Splinter adaptations I was genuinely surprised to love ‘87’s so much, seriously no one talks about this guy enough!

So I just drew both, I think they’d be friends <3

I think 2003! Raph has a soft spot for any and all Donnies. To the point he'd let them get away with murder if left alone with them.

SAINW was traumatising and sad, yes, but can we all take a moment and appreciate the GODLY fight animation and choreography in this episode?? ESPECIALLY Leo vs Karai! I come back to this episode just to rewind this fight over and over. Short, but epic!!

Yaaassss! This is why this series was the absolute best and baddest of them all. The fighting style, the history, the lore in it was fucking beautiful. It was absolutely amazing.
