(Probably should've made an intro post a while ago. I apologise if this introduction sucks, I don't write introductions that often XD)

Hi, I'm Waffle

I'm an artist from Sweden. AroAce and Agender (any pronouns). AuDHD. This is my main blog where I'll be posting just about whatever I'd like, but made some sideblogs to try and keep things even a little bit organised.

I can be very autistic about certain topics, especially if it's related to animals

Uhh other things about me:

  • I've been a fan of warrior cats since I was 9ish and started reading them in 4th grade. Some of my favourite characters are Ferncloud, Silverstream and Dovewing.
  • My favourite video games are SOMA, Portal 1&2, Fallout New Vegas, Rain World, and Bloodborne.
  • I really like animals, especially birds. I wouldn't say I have a favourite, but if I had to pick one I'd say turkey vultures.
  • I don't often watch movies but some of my favourites are The Neverending Story, Wall-E, and Princess Mononoke.
  • Unsurprisingly, my favourite food is waffles.
  • My favourite colours are green, purple, and pink.
  • I have two idiot cats whom I love very much, even though they are about as intelligent as eggshells

Neil himself is long gone from this world, and yet every April 13th this group of internet strangers come together to celebrate him and his act of banging out the tunes. Like an entire holiday, all for this little guy

Cause I think it’s pretty beautiful if you wanna get all sentimental and sappy

Ive come up with the phrase "blorbo-in-law" which is a fictional character who isn't, like, YOUR blorbo from YOUR shows but it is your mutual's blorbo who you nevertheless have developed strong opinions about due to long term dash exposure

Reminder that the only reason "hermaphrodite" is even used in biology is because some zoologists a couple hundred years ago were were too lazy to come up with a new term to talk about how snails reproduce, and instead opted to compare them to intersex people. (Which were, at the time, ONLY called hermaphrodites. The word intersex didn't exist yet.)

Hermaphrodite has referred to intersex people since before we knew what a gamete was.

It wouldn't fucking kill you to use cosexed/cosexual, dichogamous, monoecious, gonosimulite, or whatever else to talk about animal species that have dual reproductive function. You don't need to contribute to a slur for us staying normalized.

Hey, spec evo sci-fi nerd here!

Just wanted to say— thank you for your work in educating people, I’m really grateful for this in particular! I already knew the h-slur wasn’t acceptable (and tell off anyone who uses it), but now I have great alternatives that I didn’t before.

So, thank you so much for everything you do!

Glad I'm reaching at least someone about this. It warms my soul to see perisex people step up their allyship and start telling people to do the bare minimum and literally just not say slurs lmao.

Thank you for this information! We had no idea it was a slur in every context. We want to formerly apologize for using it in reference to animals in a past design. We have taken down that post and adjusted our design to say cosexed instead, before reposting it.

Jag ska vara ärlig, min lärare har äntligen fått mig till attt läsa en bok som jag faktiskt gillar. Låt mig förtydliga vad jag menar med det här; min lärare har fått mig att läsa en bok som är ganska annorlunda i jämförelse med de böcker jag vanligtvis läser (främst Warriors och liknande böcker) och har på något sätt fått mig att gilla den här boken. Kan nog ha med författarens stil att göra, eftersom allt beskrivs på ett realistiskt men ändå fantasifullt sätt (något som både jag och många andra uppskattar). Vill nästan köpa boken så jag kan läsa den fler gånger och inte bara för att jag måste.

Om någon är intresserad så heter boken Kejsaren av Portugallien, den är fan bra.
