i’m a bit late (pls act surprised) but happy new year everyone <33 i think this past year was a tougher year for a lot of us, but i just wanted to say i am cheering for us in 2025 and i believe in what we can do 🫶
i know i did not post any writing this year, but i can promise you that i have in fact been doing it! LOL i continue to chip away at my ateez series (bc i only want to start posting once it is complete…30k so far 🥰) and i mayyy finish that old minho bodyguard series, + anything else i may get inspiration for (nct dream vampire au sitting in my docs…). i’ve been doing some original writing for my ocs when i’ve had the chance which has been fun too!
i think as a whole, this year has been about me writing when i feel inspired to - not when i felt like i “had” to. as i’ve gotten adjusted in my job (and continue to get added responsibilities there 🙃), there have been plenty of times where writing, or doing anything with my brain tbh, after clocking out, is the last thing i want to do. so one of my goals for this year is to both have a better work-life balance AND in turn be able to write and have fun doing it again.
like many others here, i think it’s clear i’m definitely not into kpop like i used to be, which obviously impacts what i want to write and what i feel inspired to write for. i don’t think i would ever stop writing for my groups completely, but the fics i write will probably still take a bit longer than they used to several years ago. like i said though, i’ve had fun working on my oc(s) writing (that doesn’t get posted) this year, so who knows? there may be different kinds of fics on this acc next year - i may start writing for a few anime charas idk (🙈 we’ll see)
all in all - i will continue to be around occasionally <3 i’m looking to the rest of 2025 with optimism for all of us and i can’t wait to see everyone there :))

not my fault you’re not imaginative + if you don’t like the way i write, you can read something else
readers exist within the context of the plot and the characters around them, of course they’re going to have personality. they’re going to make decisions you’re not going to make bc you’re not in the universe they exist in. i see a lot of new generation fandom says this kinda shit and it irks my soul bc how on earth do you read books, watch shows, watch movies, and fully enjoy them if you’re looking to see yourself in the main character? you’re killing your imagination.
How can a character possibly make a choice, react, feel, or do anything in a story without a semblance of sentience? I mean, I don't know about y'all but I self-inserted myself as Frodo for fuck's sakes. You can be creative. The glory of fiction is that you're not bound to reality.
