(Un)Lucky Twins
The Stan twins shared their luck since they were little; when one was lucky, the other was unlucky. It had been a running joke that Stanley was the most unlucky out of the two and Stanford theorised that it was because he used up his luck to manage to be born, having given bad luck to Ford which ended up in a finger too many in each hand.
As long as they were together, though, the bad luck would be cancelled out.
Their father wasn't one for superstitions but even he could see what bad luck Stanley tended to bring...He told Ford his bad luck would rub off on him. Ford started to believe him...
The further away from Stan he was, the luckier he got. Except...somehow, Stanley got lucky enough to break his project.
Oh if only he knew that was Stanley's bad luck at play again and that the project breaking was good luck on Stanford's side yet once more.l
HEY HOLD ON YOU SCOUNDREL DONT STOP
ARGHHHH I KEEP THINKING ABOUT WHAT HAPPENS AFTER STAN IS KICKED OUT HHHHHHHH
with the bad luck plus lack of ford to help him, he'd probably have nothing good going for him? not only does his luck suck he also brings bad luck to others, intensifying his guilt doesnt it omg
Nahhh cause once they see each other again, what will happen? is the bad luck strong enough for ford to think "i cant give stanley the journal, i might as well leave it outside with a red sign on it if i do that" or is it like superstitious amount of luck/unluck- actually, would ford even meet bill?
so many questions
Close!
Yes I do think Stan's luck (or lack there of) gets worse and worse and will affect those surrounding him. Same for Ford but on the opposite scale.
Stanley has a tendency to be the unlucky out of the two but if Ford is having a bad day? If he's being unlucky? Chances are Stan is having the opposite.
Ford doesn't really question it at first, it was a one in a million thing- "oh I just happened to have a bad day today" but Stan notices, of course, that man has nothing ever go his way so when it does he just thinks something must have happened to Ford. He doesn't feel bad because one day isn't going to ruin Ford's life like it ruined Stan's...
But then he starts getting REALLY lucky and can't help but worry for his twin because while his life got ruined by a little mistake that Ford should've known he didn't really have control over, he doesn't want his twin to suffer the same.
The postcard arrives and Stan knows Ford is really in trouble. He'd give up all his luck without a second thought if it meant he'd be okay again...
Hear me out (angst on coming) one day the luck/bad luck stops
Ford wakes up and has a normal day he's not too lucky or unlucky, its just normal
He doesn't think much of it until he gets a call from some hospital in another state telling him they found a (dead) John Doe with his phone number on him and is asked to identify the body.
It's stan
Haha! That is such a cool and lovely idea!!

A cyanometer is a device used to measure the intensity of blue in the sky, often used in meteorology and atmospheric studies. It typically consists of a series of blue color patches or a color gradient, allowing the user to compare the sky’s color to these reference colors.
Do you like the wheel of the sky
Well I like that it doesn't take 5 minutes to scroll past.
i don’t mean to be political, but what if everyone had basic human rights
Daily fucking reminder that Luigi Mangione is innocent, completely and fully. He has been convicted of no crime. He has had no fair trial. He is a SUSPECT. Luigi Mangione is entirely innocent and everyone needs to stop parroting this insidious propaganda that he “committed” the crime he is only SUSPECTED of. He is not a murderer. He is not a criminal. He is an innocent man.
Put this out about Luigi Mangione.
reblog this to be an annoying faggot at ur followers
Guys. I gotta say it. I love Jimstan. UGH. IK.
Fiddlestan has a very special place in my heart but my god. My brain goes in a million different directions with Jimstan. The potential there.
However, I don’t go the abuse route with Jimstan.
IMAGINE.
A AU where ONLY Stan is happy. Fuck you guys. Y’all’s AU’s make Stan SO sad. Especially with the Better World stuff and what makes it so good is that Stan just DIES. I HATE THAT.
Gimme Ford suffering and things go according to cannon up until Stan shows up at the door and he’s brought his goddamn husband.
Ford is like. HUH?
Stan is healthy, happy, has a great job, he’s got a loving husband who looks mean and is snarky to everyone but Stanley who he is embarrassingly sweet on. GIMME HAPPY STANLEY.
Idk. The idea of Stan having this big mean guy that is fiercely protective of him and will literally trip over himself to make happy just hits right to me. Stan still has a hard life, still gets kicked out and is homeless. After a few years Jimmy gets into a bar fight with Stan.
They both beat the shit outta each other and for Jimmy it was love at first punch. Jimmy is like “nah” when he finds out Stan is homeless and finds the spot Stan normally sleeps at and brings him a hot meal every night. Stan is just like. “Didn’t I beat your ass in a bar fight?”
Jimmy just Denys it and brings him little offerings like meals, coffee, cigarettes, blankets. All the things and slowly gets to know Stan.
UGH. IM SORRY. IT JUST HITS DIFFERENT.
thinking of changing the main ship in my ongoing fic "Crashing Down" to fiddlestan rather than fiddauthor because I just had the most HILARIOUS idea. Okay HEAR ME OUT.
so basically, Stanford obviously has the main prerogative of finding info on stanley BUT he's also worried about the cabin and gnomes getting into it and his research being destroyed and allat....also some spoiler stuff that I cant mention. So after some time in Colombia (not gonna spoil anything that happens here too much, lotsa angst though I will say that). So Ford and Fidds decide that Ford will continue his search for clues while fiddleford goes back to look after the cabin.
stan continues to follow the pull and try to get johnnys pack off his ass, which leads him up to gravity falls. ford has tasked fiddleford with checking on the towns anomalies while hes there, so its not long before fiddleford runs into a large, seemingly anomalous wolf. he's scared out of his mind at first, but the wolf proves friendly. Hell, it kinda reminds him of his old dog back at the farm when he was a kid. the two strike up an unlikely bond.
time passes, and the wolf eventually reveals that it has a human form. He never explicitly shows fiddleford, hiding in the shadows or only transforming under the darkness of night. they have tons of conversations and grow close. fiddleford eventually begins to develop feelings for the charming man, though he doesn't know how he looks.
eventually, the werewolf trusts fiddleford enough to reveal his form. both are pretty anxious, but when the day comes the man steps out of the darkness and. Oh. Oh, no. No, no, no, no no. It can't be, it can't! And yet...Fiddleford would recognize that face anywhere.
So yeah that's my idea do you guys think its worth implementing or nah
Yes please do
let’s groove tonight, share the spice of life
With NASA announcing their streaming service NASA+ and also announcing it’s going to be free and also ad free, I’d just like to appreciate the lengths they go to make scientific knowledge and exploration as available as they possibly can.
There's more info at this link. Gosh I'm excited about this.
aroace ford. you agree. reblog.
you disagree? ignore this post. it's not that hard
can we reintroduce “disturbing” back into the popular lexicon in place of most uses of “traumatizing”
