So I could not finish in February but I am feeling better so now I'm properly working on Project New World while I work on writing a short story

I want to try applying to literary magazines just to experience what it is like to be rejected lol

Oughhh February has been a terrible month for progress in project new world, I’ve very much gotten absolutely nothing done

I know I don’t have to make awesome progress every week or anything, but it still sucks a bit. I’m gonna see if I can sit down this week and finish polishing the characters, surely I can do this

Just finished the outline for the first draft of the first book of project new world!!!

I never thought to look for the Raven cycle fanart on tumblr and now that I did my life is so much better

I've just finished watching the talk "How to craft an emotional journey for your readers" by Erin Swann and at the end we did an exercise writing a lil paragraph to put the lecture in practice.

I decided to write an alternative version to one of the key moments in the first book of Project New World for practice, so here it is!

I have been watching the writing tips that author Tomi Adeyemi has been posting on TikTok and they’re honestly really good

My favorite one has been the “choose a monthly goal instead of a yearly goal” one

I decided to make my January goal to outline all the chapters for book one of Project New World and it’s working swimmingly! I feel very motivated cause it’s a very achievable goal :))

Holidays are always hectic so I don’t usually get to write much, but I like this time of the year because it’s usually when I get everything ready for the new year

I’m almost done putting together my reading journal, and I got one too many planners for 2025, so I’m thinking of ways I can use it to aid my writing next year, since I want to write the first full draft of book one of project new world

I don’t know, I guess I like the anticipation that comes with preparing for a new year

I've sort of come up with a plan, though it's not perfect! But I'm hoping to have the first draft of project time done next year c:

I'm also thinking of going back to making video blogs! Though this is a bit more uncertain, 'cause they require so much time

I'm also working a bit on my tbr for next year, I like getting excited for what I'm gonna read

Been looking at all my writing projects trying to decide where to pick up because I don't even remember what I was doing before I went into hiatus

I'm thinking Project Time though, 'cause it had the most progress

Hi, I'm back

So. Hmm. I've been away since... I think June? Things began going kind of wrong at my workplace (though, to be fair, they were wrong since before I even began working there) and I just... grew disillusioned with my life, I think.

I don't know. At that moment it felt easier to log off from this account and just pretend it didn't exist, though it remained at the back of my mind for a while.

Creative pursuits are hard, I think most people can relate. Other things get in the way and it can be hard to remember why you were doing anything in the first place.

Today I pulled a card from my oracle deck and it told me to "follow my dreams". My gut reaction was to say "what dreams? I don't have any" but, well, that's a lie! I have many dreams, and writing is one of them, so I remembered, and I'm back.

I don't know how I'm gonna go about this, but I'm choosing to try again. So hi, my name's Orion. Nice to meet you. It's good to be back.

I’ve been super busy these past couple weeks but I hope that with the beginning of the new month I can come back and be a bit more active again!
