Being asexual is like yeah I’m ace. Except for my one intense kink that my asexuality doesn’t apply to.
I’ve finally finished Kinktober 2022, which means I’ve written 155 different kinks over the last 5 years. So I thought, hey, why not put them into an ABC list? I’ll probably add to this list in the future as I write even more kinks ;) Here we go:
Accidental Stimulation (Steve/Tony) on AO3 Steve accidentally gets turned on while riding his bike in the forest. He’s not proud of the fact that he doesn’t make it home before he comes in his pants. But it’s not like he’s ever going to do this again. Right? Against A Wall (Steve/Tony) on AO3 The serum allows for some pretty creative sex, and Tony gets to reap all the benefits. Anal Sex (Steve/Tony, minor OT6) on AO3 It’s still new, this whole relationship with the team, and Steve and Tony haven’t really managed to spend any time alone yet. So when they finally have sex a small misunderstanding arises. Steve assumes that Tony wants to bottom, Tony assumes that Steve wants to top. They are both wrong.
The prompt list for Kinktober 2022 is here! As always, we will be creating an ao3 collection, closer to the event. Prompts are just suggestions; feel free to mix or match any days, shuffle the order, or even do your own ideas. The main point is that you get out there and create something in the month of October.
kinktober
So due to tumblr's recent addition of "community labels" and my inherent suspicion of anything tumblr does, I'm here to remind you that Pillowfort is literally exactly everything tumblr users have been asking for, without the censorship. There are many, many, features and I can't even think of them all right now but the main one is that they aren't funded by advertisers; currently, I believe they're fully user-funded by donations with plans to implement some kind of optional subscription for premium features in the future. Because of this, they fully allow NSFW content. Basically if it's legal to post on the internet (in the USA, anyway, where Pillowfort is based) its welcome on Pillowfort. You can mark your posts as , if you're worried about minors being exposed to anything unsavory. In fact, looking at their post toggles right now, you can change the privacy of individual posts so that only logged-in users, followers, mutuals, or even yourself are able to view it. Pillowfort has privacy controls galore.
Literally the only thing that tumblr has that Pillowfort doesn't is the user base. Which is where this post comes in. If you, too, are suspicious of these new community labels and the fact that tumblr is being super vague about their policies and the fact that anyone can just "suggest" a community label for a post (which might then be permanently slapped on your post, with no way to take it off without appealing to the tumblr mod team), please, please consider joining Pillowfort. At the moment, you can sign up by donating $5 to them for a registration link, OR you can ask me or anyone you know that has a Pillowfort account for a free registration link: each user gets three free links generated every week, which means if you end up liking it, it's pretty easy to let your friends also sign up for free.
In case this post somehow blows up and I end up having more than three people wanting to join per week (which I'm doubting at this point) here's a link to Pillowfort's official Twitter profile, where they regularly start threads for people to drop their registration invite links for anyone looking to sign up.
Please just consider trying it out because at this point I really don't see NSFW coming back to tumblr any time soon (and literally neither does the CEO of tumblr), and we all deserve better than the buggy updates and "features" they keep forcing on us over and over.
steve lost his virginity to who
We should show them that we love them.
How you ask? Here are some suggestions:
It’s easy to get lost in the negativity, but isn’t it better to direct that energy toward showing our creators with lots and lots of love?
Feel free to add to this post with more ideas to share the love :)
Holy crap ok so
You're probably about to see a lot of crap going round about this because what the hell?? It's advertised on the playstore as an unofficial AO3 app with free fanfic to read and it's pretty popular
I downloaded it and yeah... when they say unofficial AO3 app they really mean they've ripped a bunch of content off AO3 and it's just on there to read. Searching my AO3 handle gets me this:
What the hell. That's my stuff. 144 fics to read. The stats you can see for the ones there are ripped from AO3 too. Beyond obviously, I was never contacted about having my work put up on an app I've never heard of. And what makes this better?
There's an option to go Premium and even to leave a tip. They're purportedly keeping the app alive with this cash but to call a spade a spade, they're profiting off fanfic by ripping it from AO3 and asking users to pay for a premium service.
I'm furious. The reviews on this app are all talking about how useful the users did or didn't find it; no one seems concerned that the app should not exist in the first place. What the hell
As a writer I'm going to be contacting AO3 about this (though things seem to be kicking off to the point that I'm sure they already know). I'm making this post to let any users of the app know: I know having an AO3 app would be great but this is not the answer. To rip content from people on AO3 and try to profit from it is deeply not okay, and flies directly in the face of so many core elements of fandom. We are not for sale.
Fuck this shit
