(18+ only) nsfw alphabet– michael robinavitch .𖥔 ݁ ˖ִ ࣪₊ ⊹˚

pairing : michael "robby" robinavitch x afab!reader

18+ MDNI—warning : explicit sexual content, use of cunt, rough sex, praise kink, post-sex intimacy, body worship, possessive language. this is just pure filth start to finish like oh my god...

a/n : no plot, just robby being hot, obsessed, and way too good at ruining your cunt. you're welcome. roughly 4,000 words... needless to say I was very passionate about this one as well. I also did one for dr. abbot!. anyways, happy pitt thursday & ty for 100 followers !

this is my first Dr. Robby fic and my god i have no words - truly perfection

okay i want to talk about isaiah 40 in the pitt. i’m not familiar with judaism so bare with me, but robby recites the shema, which from my understanding is a declaration of faith in God? lmk if im wrong. but! isaiah 40 is about comfort for God’s people, and the verses right before the verse whitaker recites talks about how God does not grow tired, but men do. the staff in the pitt are tired. then that gives us the verse whitaker recites about how God will restore that strength so long as you wait. also, important context, isaiah 40 occurs during the babylonian exile, in which God’s people, the Jews, were forced out of Jerusalem and into exile in Babylon. their temples were destroyed, and they faced tons of hardships, yet still maintained their faith. it’s a super important moment in Jewish history as far as i’m aware.

so basically, whitaker, who we’ve seen kind of struggle relating to and understanding people, immediately upon hearing that robby was reciting a Jewish prayer, recalled a verse reminding specifically the Jews facing horrible hardships to wait for God because He will give them strength. he hears that robby is one of God’s people by his own declaration and then recites a reminder of strength for God’s people in hard times. which i think is absolutely amazing character development and i love him

Just adding my two cents: the Shema is a declaration of faith, yes, but it’s also the first prayer a Jewish person learns and the last thing they say before they die, and woven into daily life in between. It’s not just a theological statement; it’s intimate, emotional, instinctive - a tether to identity, history, and hope, especially in moments of fear or crisis.

The FASCINATING thing is that he immediately follows it up with a "baruch shem k’vod…”, which is typically recited after kriyat shema, but also should be said after one accidentally recites a blessing in vain. And maybe I’m reading too much into this, but with Robby’s strained and complicated relationship with God, that moment reads almost like a retraction. Like he’s thinking, “Who am I to seek comfort in something I’ve long since stopped believing in?”. The words come out by instinct, and then he second-guesses himself, pulls back. because he doesn't believe in the words of Hear, O Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is One.

Which makes his later interaction with Whittaker all the more powerful. Because Whittaker shows Robby that it’s okay - that even in doubt, even in pain, he can still reach for something sacred. That faith doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful.

Oh my gosh thank you so much for this addition!! This makes it so much better. I’m so glad someone was able to explain it more from the Jewish perspective as well.

My mom's a nurse. My mom was a nurse for 20 years. [...] She came over on Sunday night and she told me this last particular episode [of The Pitt] that aired was triggering in a way she didn't anticipate and she actually remembered a lot of people that passed on her table as she was watching it. And it was the first time she and I've ever had that conversation and I recognized "wow". I work among doctors and nurses all day long and I'm very conscious of the toll that it takes on those practitioners. I did not even realize how close it was at my own house until Sunday.

A/N: Freaky Tales comes out on Friday! I’m so fucking excited. I’m releasing part 1 before watching the movie because I’m scared that if I don’t, I will end up re-writing it completely to make it more 'canon'. And I’m realizing it’s okay if this story is slightly AU. Next part is almost done, but I want to watch the movie this weekend to incorporate events from the movie if I can.

Thank you so much for reading! If you like this, please consider leaving a comment or reblogging thots.

"Clint, fucking listen to me," the voice on the other end was frantic, almost desperate. It was Dawson, an old 'colleague' whose life had always been entangled in the murky underbelly of the world Clint had left behind. "We’ve got one more job for you. This would be…six months, tops."

I went through so many emotions in this story, but in the best way possible. I tried to pick out a few of my favorite parts but realized that it was almost every section of this story

BUT THAT ENDING THO???

I need more. Can’t wait to read more. And I’m obsessed with Clint - I can really envision his character.
