Yesterday, the Israeli occupation killed my friend and his entire family. Only one person survived. I can’t comprehend the magnitude of this tragedy, and I still can’t believe I wasn’t even able to bury them. They were pulled from under the rubble in torn pieces—no faces, no goodbyes, just shock and indescribable pain.
They were erased from the civil registry in moments, as if they had never existed, as if their dreams, their laughter, their lives meant nothing.
