this whole “never repeat outfits” shit is not working for me. i get attached to one oversized sweater and that’s all you’ll see me in for a week

It's called a signature outfit and it's a part of my character design, and can only be changed if a significant time skip or a plot point occurs.

There is literally no moral value to any gender. It is All Morally Neutral. It should go without saying but I think we've circled back societally to assigning value and personality based on gender

This is actually exactly what I was talking about.

Not only is "men are evil" transphobic and adds to stereotypes that get men of color harassed and killed, but best case scenario, it paints men as incapable of being good and therefore why should we try to be?

As soon as the anti-trans groups get you to agree to hate cis men, they will go in for trans men, gay men, men of color, followed by nonbinary people and trans women. And on and on. It's already happening.

You are not immune to propaganda.

Reblogging again to say that we never circled back around to this, we never left in the first place really

when a dragons wings are too small to realistically fly thats fine its reasonable i think to size them down to allow them to fit in a space better and be more readable as a character. but outside of really specific circumstances (like cartoonishly small wings) when a dragons wing webbing stops way too far up? punishable by death. in seymourworld.

sooo many dragon designs look like the last thing and it pisses me of. stopppp

oh fuck internalized too much lotr as a kid, actually believe there’s good in the world or some kinda shit

oh fuck internalised too much discworld as a kid, actually believe there’s good in people and that i have a duty to contribute towards increasing the amount of good in the world

Fingolfin • Ñolofinwë • Arcáno

”Thus died Fingolfin, High King of the Noldor, most proud and valiant of the Elven-kings of old. The Orcs made no boast of that duel at the gate; neither do the Elves sing of it, for their sorrow is too deep. Yet the tale of it is remembered still, for Thorondor King of Eagles brought the tidings to Gondolin, and to Hithlum afar off. And Morgoth took the body of the Elven-king and broke it, and would cast it to his wolves; but Thorondor came hasting from his eyrie among the peaks of the Crissaegrim, and he stooped upon Morgoth and marred his face. The rushing of the wings of Thorondor was like the noise of the winds of Manwë, and he seized the body in his mighty talons, and soaring suddenly above the darts of the Orcs he bore the King away. And he laid him upon a mountain-top that looked from the north upon the hidden valley of Gondolin; and Turgon coming built a high cairn over his father. No Orc dared ever after to pass over the mount of Fingolfin or draw nigh his tomb, until the doom of Gondolin was come and treachery was born among his kin. Morgoth went ever halt of one foot after that day, and the pain of his wounds could not be healed; and in his face was the scar that Thorondor made.”

So this was a pre-planned (and likely paid for by the Kremlin) show: to invite Zelenskyy, scold him like a kindergartener in front of the press, present him with an unreasonable "deal" - an ultimatum - knowing full well he will refuse it (as anyone in this position would). And then tell the world: "Look, our mighty Orange King could've ended this horrible war in a day, but this poorly-dressed, warmongering, ungrateful twat just doesn't want peace! It's not our fault, we did what we could!"

The show is so cheap, so transparent, yet still effective for so many brainless people.

I want you to know that the Mexican press is calling Zelinskyy a hero for walking out and putting his people and country first.

So is the Canadian press, who are also reporting that it hasn't played well for anyone but Trump's most staunch supporters in the US.

And don't forget: this is a revenge story. It's not all about rare earths or mineral rights... not by a long shot.

Trump got impeached the first time because he got caught trying to get Zelenskyy to lie about Joe Biden doing illegal/corrupt things, and Zelenskyy refused to do it. The Suit without a Man In It* will have cuddled that grudge to him like a vomit-soaked teddybear, dreaming of ways to someday inflict maximum punishment on Ukraine's President for making him look bad.

So the mugging, as described above, went forward. But I seriously think no one associated with the current inhabitants of the White House realized how badly the event could or would backfire and/or catalyze opinion, both in the US and in other parts of the world.

It's going to be interesting—in the historical (annoying) sense of the word—to see how all this unfolds over the next couple/few months. But today's speech from the Danish prime minister is a real banger. (Apologies for the TikTok-ized version of this with background music. I'll look in a while and see if I can find one with, you know, just the words.)

Earlier I ran across a comment from somebody to the effect of, "The inhabitant of the Oval Office may just have accidentally created the United States of Europe." An interesting take. We shall see...

*There's a description of yesterday's events making the rounds: "A man without a suit on had a meeting with a suit without a man in it."

The good (y'know, comparatively) news is that after the last 48 hours, we can decisively conclude that that whole embarrassing shitshow went far, far worse for Trump/Vance/Putin et al than it ever did for Zelenskyy. The pile-on has been worldwide and consistent. Zelenskyy came out strong and principled because he was the only adult in the room and everyone saw it. Europe got together and hastily pledged tons of new spending and support for Ukraine, including about four billion pounds for military support from the UK alone (rare Starmer W). Zelenskyy got to meet King Charles (who didn't say anything about his non-suit-wearing). Every single European leader posted messages of support (except for Orban of Hungary, who is obviously as much a Putin stooge as Trump). There were worldwide demonstrations for Ukraine. Vance got his Vermont ski vacation ruined for being a treasonous chud and had to be removed to an "undisclosed location" like certain other crappy Republican vice presidents of yore. Lololololol.

It's worth noting that Zelenskyy has refused to submit to Trump's blackmail in 2019, refused to surrender to Putin's invasion in 2022, and now refused to bow down to the Trump-Russia Axis of Treason in 2025, even after, as noted, the whole Friday debacle was very clearly set up to humiliate him and kowtow to Trump's Daddy Dom, Vladimir V. Putin. He's still politely but flatly refusing to let anyone get away with lying about the war and the invasion, excuse Russia's actions, create a false moral equivalence, or let Trump/Vance just bully him for the transient masturbatory satisfaction of their Kremlin paymasters. He is a human politician and therefore flawed like any of them, but the individual courage and incredible tenacity that it has taken to repeatedly stand up to the worst elements of what Anne Applebaum calls "Autocracy Inc." and tell them to take a hike even when he will quite obviously suffer for it, is remarkable and should be recognized. So yes. May we all channel more of this determination.

Axis of Treason

Immortalizing that one in the tags!

I wish we had someone like Zelenskyy as president instead of the jerkish cuck we're stuck with.

My favorite comment so far... "it was good to see a president in the Oval Office, even if he didn't stay long and wasn't ours"

not to talk about flow again, but the thing is, a lot of people talk about independent film making and its importance etc, but it's hard to get more independent than flow this year

not only because it was made with a free and open source software anyone can use, not only because it beat competitors from major studios with an average of 3% of the budget they had, not only because it represented a country that had never won an oscar before, not only because it didn't have any star power involved, not only because it didn't come from a filmmaker with past history, not only because it was made by a small team...

but also because it's an animated movie

animators often get the short end of the stick in the entertainment industry and, for the past years, it was starting to look as if the only way to make an animated project happen was to sell your soul to a major studio and see your work transformed into what they need and how they want it marketed

especially for movies from outside the US, from non-English speaking countries, where insanely talented animators tend to be used as freelance cheap labor for major US studios or have to adapt as much as possible to fit into their market in order to find work

passion projects for animation seemed to only be reserved to the shorts category, or needed to be as high brow as humanly possible to be perceived as "high art" to be valued and, even in the spaces of the industry dedicated to the genre, the way in which awards are distributed are a poor reflection of the vast work animators do

it's major for this film to win awards, let alone the oscar, an award which is notably judged badly for animation and often prefers the marketable easy way out of voting rather than genuine interest

this movie used a resource that is open to anyone and, with good storytelling, made an oscar winning film

in a world in which art is constantly being attacked by capitalist greed, I'm happy that a movie with heart and little resources could do something like this, whether or not people care about the oscars anymore

I haven't purchased a HP item in close to a decade - I use the books I already had as doorstops or to prop a laptop up for meetings nowadays.

There is NO "death of the author" with JK Rowling - she controls and continues to profit from her IP, and uses that money to fund hate groups.

Here's your periodic reminder of why it's so important not to buy any Harry Potter merch or watch anything JKR profits from.

It isn't about cancelling problematic media, idgaf. We're capable of reading books we already own with a critical eye.

It's about not giving more power to someone who is using it to materially harm our community.

And yes that includes that shitty video game, yes that includes the Lego sets, yes it includes visiting the theme park. Stop giving Transphobia Georg money.
