A combination of Aroacespike and Frayattraction. It's a term for those who experience strong attraction for someone, but it fades once a relationship with the person is formed. Attraction may spike during the relationship, but it gradually lessens again.

Coined by me/us since I couldn't find a term that best fit my experience with attraction. If this has already been coined, let us know

Willow

March 2023 - 24th March 2025

Willow was the sweetest rat, always happy for attention and tickles, licking and grooming her rattie friends and fingers of her human. She joined me when she was just five months old, she was so little that when she'd follow her two friends around as they committed mischief, she was sometimes too short to reach and climb after them. Despite being youngest and smallest, she worked hard for her place as Top Rat, always summoned by the sound of someone else squeaking their objections to being groomed and wanting to join in.

Daisy

January 2023 - 19th April 2025

Daisy was the sweetest little rat, getting up when I called her name, and licking any fingers that ended up near her face. She loved pea fishing, although she only liked the inside of peas and would drop the shells back in the water, only to be annoyed at finding all these pea shells when she's trying to fish for peas! Her enthusiasm for eggs kept her determined to get in long after everyone else had given up. The only thing she loved more than food was her friends, she always got on well with everyone.

Bluebell

November 2022 - 22nd April 2025

Bluebell enjoyed climbing and committing crime. She was single-handedly responsible for the radiator being blocked off with a massive sheet of cardboard for the last 20 months - she would climb up behind the radiator, stand on top of it, and launch herself up to the windowsill. She'd climb up the cage, and then stand there with an "I can jump that far" expression while looking at the curtain. Being a bitey rat, she was encouraged to step into a fabric cube for ratreival. She often climbed up the cage only to immediately turn around and stand at the edge asking for a hand down, as though it was fun to climb and get a lift back, always trusting that I would be there.

i made him for my bf, were making rats that look like ourselves to swap them.

i am so proud of how this little guy turned out, his jacket is looking better than mine, and its fully from scraps and other stuff i still had laying around

added a "misfits" patch, a rat skull patch and a trans anarchy patch, drew some gay stuff one the inside

i gave him piercings to match mine too, and gave his jacket buttons so you can close it! altho it is but tight but it looks better this way.

gave him an arm cuff and a tail cuff, i avoided using shark spikes so he's still somewhat huggable

he is my son and im glad my bf is getting custody of him cause i wouldnt be able to give him away to anyone else.

i could write a story set in a world where birds are known for spreading diseases and everyone thinks birds are gross and disgusting and people are afraid of them & if you say "wow that bluejay is really pretty" then people look at you like you have a third head, or tell you about how much they hate birds. and if you say "i think maybe the bird hate is unjustified" then everybody says "so do you think it's good that some people get the disease from them and die!?" or they say "i think all birds should go extinct. there's other animals that can do whatever roles they do in nature. let's kill them all" and this is a popular opinion. does it sound familiar? huh? does it? wouldn't that suck? bugs. it's bugs.
