Further plot: Alena's boyfriend Jakub is planning their future together, trying to get them an apartment. Alena is reluctant to go through with it, her two best friends and coworkers Bára and Eva see she is unhappy with the situation and are trying to figure out why.
After Irena finds out the accusations against Lukáš are false, she starts a dangerous business relationship with Gruber to get him out of custody. She tells Lukáš a lie about having a lover in an attempt to force him to let her be.

Fangirling: In this first piece, we basically get Irena being her sunshine personality towards everyone around :D And Alena! Girl! You saw her once in your life i stg and you are already pinning over her across the room :D :D :D But hey, it worked, since Irena went right back and asked for her. I wonder what is her motivation at this point, does she want to ride her (not like that you horny! :D) to show her who's the boss? Or is she just curious about her? I love the moment they share in the dressing room. Alena is immediately aware of what it means for her and she backs away, scared. You can also see that whatever was running in Irena's head at that moment, she snapped back to her usual self when she heard people outside the changing room. What a defense mechanism.. "bitch mode initiated to cover the fact I just had a moment with this girl" :D poor Alena tho, someone protect her pure soul <3 God i love those morons so much.
Yes, this is how my fangirling will probably look under every video so feel free to skip my smitten rambling :)
Further plot: Irena's husband Lukáš is accused of raping a local employee. Irena uses this to manipulate her father to let her divorce Lukáš, something her father has refused to allow till now. Meanwhile, a new character is introduced, Colonel Gruber, a head of the Prague SS office, who wants money and influence over the Kučera family. He especially takes to Irena, who impresses him with her hardness and skillset in leading the company.

Goodbye, Cam and Rebecca... 💕 Based on the non-fiction book by Rebecca Godfrey UNDER THE BRIDGE (2024)
[+] LGBTQ 🏳️🌈 [+] ..more on “Under the Bridge” 🎬 Cam and Rebecca’s story concludes on a rather bittersweet note. One could have wanted more for these two characters. It’s a quiet and carefully plotted ending by its writers that did not steer away from the focus of the story. The slightly altered yet true events were thoughtfully woven into the series’ conclusion. Would really like to applaud everyone for handling this story with such care, and sensitivity. You should absolutely see this show—it’s truly quite special.

A miracle happened in our country and we got an actually good show with very well-written and interesting wlw representation. I really want to spread this amazing story, but because Youtube is homophobic and won't let me upload the videos I decided to share their story with you here.

This first post is about the introduction to the premise and the characters, a lot is happening and I will do my best to keep you in the loop. If you wanna know or see more, don't hesitate to hit me up in my asks :)
Synopsis: The show begins in 1939 during the protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia under Nazi occupation, at the beginning of World War II. The story centers around the rich Kučera family, who own a newly opened luxury department store in the center of Prague called Golden Swan (Zlatá Labuť)
Characters: Irena Mašková - a daughter of the head of the Kučera family, a very hardened, ambitious, and ruthless woman, who is fighting hard for the approval of her father who often dismisses her based only on the fact she is a woman. She loves the luxury of her life, and staying at the helm of their family business is the most important thing to her. She has an estranged husband Lukáš with whom she has two sons
Alena Zimová - a very kind and warm-hearted young woman who starts working at Golden Swan as a salesgirl. She left the small village she was born in for Prague in hopes of escaping her homophobic parents and life in the anonymity of a big city. She is dating a waiter Jakub from Swan's restaurant, who wants to marry her

And then I’m puzzled at all the Neil Why’s, and realise that this was me in the Wayback Long-ago.
At least I’m consistent.
And, I should point out, we are no closer to being able to spot the extra-dimensional stick “people” who move unobserved among us.
