my friend seraj has created a new chuffed campaign for his family's needs during the current stage of intensified bombardment and violence against gaza. from this instagram post:

"All 13 of Seraj's family members are displaced for the 5th time since October 7th. They had moved back home but had to flee on March 18th with nothing. Though they're sheltered, they still need wood and nylon to build a makeshift bathroom, water for drinking and cleaning, firewood for cooking and warmth, and flour, vegetables, and other food items."

currently $255 / $15,000 as of March 24th and only 5 people have donated so far. please don't hesitate to give your support in any way you can. you can also donate to his paypal

I'll be real, at this point I'm not sure a transgender day of visibility is something we need. I think "not being visible enough" is the opposite of the problem we have. in fact, if you can believe it, I would largely like to be less visible than I currently am, as an out trans woman

Seeing people in the tags saying “It was made for transmascs” and that’s strictly not true.

This is not to say we cannot have complicated feelings around it or even dislike it, but please actually look into why this day was creates before completely disparaging it.

urgent: medical emergency

Shadi Awad from North Gaza was critically injured during the Flour Massacre of February of 2024, and his father was killed. Now, he urgently needs to access the proper medical treatment; due to not being able to receive proper healthcare for an entire year, Shadi risks losing his legs, or worse. He needs $4000 for the first operation to remove the platinum rods from his leg as well as the proper funds to be able to evacuate to Egypt, as he will not be able to access all of the necessary care in Gaza due to the collapse of the healthcare system.

you can find more information here or here

i want to share some fundraisers i've found on instagram that aren't getting much traction. i'll try to keep the descriptions brief, but please choose one or several of these families to support if you can and at the very least reblog this.

  • eman is a young mother who lost her firstborn, kenan, in the bombing during the early stages of the genocide. she now has a four month old infant, rima, who is suffering from a chest infection. she needs to provide medical treatment as well as food so rima is able to recover. sick babies are some of the most vulnerable people in gaza. (€26,568 / €50,000 - 53%)
  • qusay's mother was injured and urgently needs medical treatment. they also need to provide food, water and other basic necessities. remember the occupation is deliberately blocking food into the gaza strip so more necessary items have become unavailable or extraordinarily expensive. ($1,742 / $2,400 - 73%)
  • ahmed is 26 years old, his family was displaced from their home in rafah for most of the genocide, and they recently returned to find their house completely destroyed. his family includes small children. (£4,507 / £20,000 - 23%)
  • eman is a very talented 19 year old artist. she had dreams of studying architecture in university before the genocide began. after months of displacement, she recently found out her house was destroyed. she needs funds to be able to continue her studies, further her education and rebuild her future. she hasn't received any donations to her campaign in 11 days. (kr100,120 NOK / kr376,477 - 27%)
