Hi anon, sorry for the wait but of course. Actually wrote this just after I had a really horrible dizzy spell (that was my own fault, but we won't talk about that). However, disclaimer that I don't really get dizzy/random dizzy spells, so I'm sorry if this is inaccurate.

✧ The first time you’re with him and get a dizzy spell it is - most inconveniently - in the middle of a forest.

✧ You only need to mention dizziness to Aragorn, and he’s already alert. There’s a second as his eyes sweep over you, before he asks if you need to sit down. Or if you need anything from him at all.

✧ Looking around at the mud and twigs under you, you grimace for a second as you realise that you do. And that you don’t particularly want to get filthy.

✧ He follows your gaze for a second, before he reaches up to unclasp his cloak and places it gently on the floor beside you.

✧ So he’s always very understanding, and non-judgmental, whenever you miss something. Or don’t quite pick up on a tone inflection.

✧ Over time, you notice small gestures that he’ll do to make it more obvious. Or even just a quiet nod to you, when the conversation calls for you to speak and you just missed who said what.

Wow - sorry this got lost in my inbox for so long. But, of course! The one that will probably come out soonest is either a Pippin SFW Alphabet, or a fellowship x reader who struggles with social queues (as a headcanon set). In terms of oneshots, it will almost certainly be Legolas x guard!reader using the prompt "Do you have to make my job so difficult, your royal highness?"

Also - if anyone liked Dance with me, I've got another Aragorn request coming up, this time with prompts “the last thing I want is to see you hurt” & “don’t you trust me?”

I'm also currently working on an Aragorn/Faramir that was requested for me, although over on a different blog. Hopefully that will come out February.

Omg okay… so I had this thought randomly and now I wanted to know if you were open to writing the scenario… The Hobbit/Lord of the rings… Thranduil, Legolas, Kili (and honestly anyone else you want who isn’t human if you’d like) and their reaction to their pregnant human s/o’s cravings. Like I don’t know if pregnant elves and dwarves had those cravings (they probably do??) but like their reactions to the really weird human cravings, because I bet there is definitely ones they aren’t used to due to cultural differences, right? Hi anon - and yes, I am willing to do so. I imagine elves and dwarves probably do have pregnancy cravings, although this was written more on the idea that they don't. Also, I have never been pregnant. I have incredibly limited experience when it comes to pregnancy, so I am so sorry if this is inaccurate. Hope people still enjoy!

Summary : In which you aren't just 'chilly' - something icy has seeped into your bones, enough to make you shiver on watch. Aragorn notices, and offers a solution.

Sometime between the lovely dusky hues of sunset and the inky blackness of midnight, a chill has seeped into your bones. Even with your own cloak and your bedroll, there’s still some warmth missing. Something that’s letting ice settle into your bones. Staring up at Caradhras, you wonder if it’s the mountain's fault. You’re still a while off - but the malevolence of it can be felt even from here. And something that malevolent is also probably petty enough to send cold weather in the way of the Fellowship.

So here you are, stuck on watch duty and (perhaps) being cursed by a mountain to shiver. As a group you’ve agreed not to light a fire; stealth is paramount and the lasting marks it gives make the Fellowship too easy of a target. That decision had seemed so logical and reasonable to you only a few hours ago. Now, the reward of possibly not getting seen by enemies right now isn’t a great comfort or resolver to your issues. Still, you are only to be on watch for another hour.

The cold is sharp enough to keep you awake at least, and you gaze out into the blackness around you. Nothing stirs, except for the movement of the Fellowship around you. The gentle breathing in and out, the occasional shuffle of a bedroll while asleep. And then a louder movement and shifting of fabric.

It’s close enough that it’s probably a member of the Fellowship, so while you whip around to see what it is your hand only strays to your blade - it doesn’t wield it. Aragorn seems fairly thankful of that fact as you turn to face him, his hands not above his head but his palms open. Showing that he’s not a threat. “My apologies if I startled you.”

Normally he’s in the next room when you wake up, tea ready for you while reading or making notes on some parchment. But you can’t quite bring yourself to leave him just yet (or get out of the warm covers and into the cool air). Instead, you keep lying in bed and staying close to him - hearing the rhythm of his breath while he sleeps.

There’s a shift which makes you tense for a second, but it’s just Lindir moving closer to you. Still asleep, but being remarkably cuddly. It’s at this time you feel the slight want to get up, and you begin to push yourself up before a hand snakes around your wrist with a quiet whisper of, “No…”

Lindir is only just awake, his eyes still scrunched with sleep and his body relaxed, but he keeps a firm hold on you. A gentle tug to get you back into bed with him, to stay with him for a while more. “Please?”

Speaking, you try to decide what the bigger issue to be addressed is. “It’s a holiday for couples but- how did you hear about this?”

“I overheard you talking about it with Pippin. I-” Haldir’s ears go slightly red as they do when he’s embarrassed, “I was listening for a while and it seems a custom I would enjoy partaking in. With you.”

“You don’t even fully know what Valentine’s Day is, and you still want to celebrate it?”

“From what I have overheard it is a festival honouring love between partners.” He places a small kiss on your forehead, “And I want to show my devotion to you in your culture as well as my own.”

Privately wondering what on earth he has planned, you consent to Fíli’s ask to close your eyes, hearing him rush off for a second. Almost before you have time to wonder what he’s doing, you can hear him run back in. There’s something rattling in his hands now, a bag with something in perhaps?

“Now remember.” His voice comes from directly in front of you, “I’ve sworn you to secrecy. You can’t tell Kíli about this, or Uncle Thorin.”

“I am sworn to secrecy.” You dutifully repeat, “Now can I open my eyes?”

“You may.”

Fíli sounds entirely too smug as you open your eyes, but looking down you see the reason why. He holds out a small bag in his hands - filled practically to the brim with sweets, and tarts, and everything you could possibly want. Grinning up at you, Fíli watches for your reaction. “I would only share this with you, darling.”

Dimly, the candlelight continues to flicker and illuminate the documents in front of you. Its wick is burnt low, as is most of its wax - that and the tiredness indicate how late it’s getting. Not that that matters too much, if you could just finish these final sentences.

“What are you still doing up, my love?” Boromir’s voice is soft as he speaks, as not to startle you when you turn around to face him. He’s now dressed in nightclothes, a candle in his hand as he looks from you to the drained candle to the work next to you. “Can this not wait until morning?”

You try to smile at him, “It’s only a few more sentences, Boromir. I’ll be with you, with you-”

A yawn cuts you off, and you can see him trying not to grin. Coming a little closer, he speaks again, “It’s cold in bed without you. Besides, judging by that yawn I’m not the only one of us who’d rather be in bed right now.”

He succeeds in making you laugh, although he doesn’t quite succeed in getting you to leave the work behind. “I miss you too, and I’ll be there soon.”

“And how many times have I heard you say that? Have you said to yourself this is the last sentence? Come to sleep, dear. Your work will be waiting for the morning.”

A/N : To the someone reading this who needs this, your work can wait if you're to stressed. Scrolling tumblr can wait if you need to sleep, or you need to get back to life. Stay here as long as you need to feel good, but enjoy the wonders in the real world <3
