But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Romans 8:11

It is unfortunate at best that many Christians do not realize the power available to them through the Holy Spirit.  It is even more unfortunate that they are not aware of the Spirit at work within them. God is not in the business of sending people out to serve unequipped l That is why the disciples were told to wait in Jerusalem until they received power:

And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. Luke 24:49

That same promise and same power is for us as well. We also have the future hope, that as Christ was raised from the dead by the Spirit, by that same Spirit we too shall be raised. Thus through the Holy Spirit we have hope and power to live this life victoriously and hope to be raised and forever be with Christ after this life is done.

If you want to be like Jesus you cannot live walking hand in hand with sin.

I see too many people that say “the Bible doesn’t say ____ it says to love EVERYONE”. But what is love?

The Bible lists out sin perfectly. It tells us what God loves and what He hates. Our goal is to live in love and cut off the things He hates(sin). Sin is not up for debate. The accuracy of scripture is not up for debate. REAL love is warning people their sin will lead them to hell, but there is freedom found in our savior Christ Jesus.

Jesus Himself tells us to go and sin no more. He tells us Himself not everyone who calls Him Lord will enter the kingdom. The scriptures are clear when they warn us to cut our hands and feet off to enter the kingdom. To take up our cross. To fight the enemy tooth and nail.

If you use the love of Jesus to defend sin, you do not understand real love. Real love warns.
