Hi.

You can call me Sflow (not comfortable divulging my gender). Awkward millennial from the Nordics, self-employed translator, massive geek, still an early 2000s emo kid at heart.

I’m mainly here for the latest in my very long line of fixations: Young Royals. I’ve been in the fandom since July 2021 but only came out of lurking here in the early months of 2022. I still expect to keep blogging about YR now that canon has ended, but there will also be some posts about other media I'm interested in, various ace stuff, my native country’s politics, etc. I will continue to tag those posts ‘not yr’ for your convenience!

One reason I have such love for YR is that it reignited my creative spark: I'm Sflow on ao3 now. Fic descriptions and links are also available on a separate master list page (only works on desktop).

My magnum opus is an S1-compliant longfic called Other people’s secrets. It's an outsider POV of Wilmon, a personal growth journey for Henry, and an ace/allo romance between him and Walter. I'm proud to say the ship name Walty was coined by one of the readers!

I've written a few shorter fics as well; they are alloace Henry fics in line with my headcanon of him. At present, I am reworking my Walter-focused prequel (WIP) in the main series while also writing an S3-compliant character study of an aged-up aroace Henry. Both fics have been affected by creative burnout and real-life stuff, but I haven't abandoned either!

Oh, and I have also written a pre-canon character study on August. It’s called Årnäs, February 2016 and explores his upbringing and parental relationships (i.e. how he got so messed up).

My blog is of course safe for all LGBTQIA+ people. I’m grey ace with demi tendencies; romantic orientation unlabelled/fluid since I accepted my asexuality and Realised Some Stuff about my history of attraction. Some kind of multiromantic I guess.

I guess it all boils down to the question of whether the intermediate colour between blond and brown is considered a) "dark/dirty blonde", b) "light brown and therefore brunette", or c) cendré or another word for that specific colour. Which largely depends on what the prominent hair colours are in each culture, i.e. what you are comparing it to.

In Finland, for example, the prevalence of "light hair" is over 80% in most of the country. I'm guessing my hair also counts as light for statistical purposes, but it's definitely not considered blond.

Here are a few quick examples from my camera roll, taken in different lighting conditions and at different times of the year (in random order):

So as you can see, it's not exactly the same colour as Wille’s hair in S1, but it is around the same level of lightness or possibly even a bit lighter (also, I've got a secret red undertone that you can see on the top right).
