the average human lifespan globally is 70+ years
taking the threshold of adulthood as 18, you are likely to spend at least 52 years as a fully grown adult
at the age of 30 you have lived less than one quarter of your adult life (12/52 years)
'middle age' is typically considered to be between 45-65
it is extremely common to switch careers, start new relationships, emigrate, go to college for the first or second time, or make other life-changing decisions in middle age
it's wild that I even have to spell it out, but older adults (60+) still have social lives and hobbies and interests.
you can still date when you get old. you can still fuck. you can still learn new skills, fashionable, be competitive. you can still gossip, you can still travel, you can still read. you can still transition. you can still come out.
young doesn't mean peaked. you're inexperienced in your 20s! you're still learning and practicing! you're developing social skills and muscle memory that will last decades!
there are a million things to do in the world, and they don't vanish overnight because an imaginary number gets too big

My name is Ahmed, I’m 20 years old, and I’m from Gaza City. I used to dream of a peaceful life, completing my education, and getting a job, but the war has turned that dream into something impossible 💔😭. We lived through this massacre in every painful detail, and we are still in pain 😔. We were so happy when the ceasefire was announced, and we returned to our homes in the north of Gaza after being displaced for a year and a half in a tent in the south of the Strip. After we fixed a small room in our destroyed house to live in and start over, unfortunately, the war returned, stronger than before 💔. Now, we have no shelter and no source of income. We have exhausted all our savings during the war. I know that I started my campaign very late, but that’s because there is no other way to help my family 🙏. I am fully confident and hopeful that someone here will help us as much as they can and save my family in these difficult circumstances 😔.

I know that the feeling of starting from scratch is painful and frustrating, but I hope to receive any amount for my family 🥺🙏.

Askeladd should know that she keeps her vows and exempts no one.

based on chapter 19 and 20 of the manga and TSAWH using my OC

He took long strides towards the messy house, quick to evade any fire, drunks and bodies but keeping his gait straight enough to not seem urgent. The men were too high on their small victory, indulging in the beer and food while they pranced and sung into the night. Björn reckoned they were too lost in themselves to see the stern look on his face.

"Askeladd." He feigned to sit next to the leader, leaning on hayballs further away. His stare seemed distant and milky as his lips touched the rim of the jug again and again, tempting and playful but too absent-minded to take a sip. It took a second for his blue eyes to glance up at him with a bored hum. "It's the lass. You should hurry." Without sparing another thought, the blonde huffed with gritted teeth and threw the jug to the ground, the alcohol spilling on dry, bloodied prints. A crack of his bones ensued as he got up, cursing inwardly before hastily following Björn. He was glad that the Danes were too preoccupied with themselves and the loot to question the pair.

"Three men wanted some privacy and she got wind of it." Steadily diving into the shadows, further to the edge of the village, they hurried. Askeladd let out a gruff and deep sigh. "Always the same. The kid is gonna end up staying forever." "Does she have to do this, though? Everytime I think she's got some brains, she goes and makes a mess again. And then gets mad that she gets the shorter end of the stick." The blonde glimpsed towards Björn, watching the taller man's face drop to one of meager frustration - no remorse, no empathy, no brains himself - before shooting him a crooked grin. "That's how it is with kids, Björn! And girls are always worse!" He cackled briefly with a snort that the brunette could only shake his head to.

There's this weird tendency among fandom types where they'll take a character, and insist that they are fans of them, before changing their design, age, pronouns, backstory, blood type, species, hometown, favorite color, zodiac sign, medical history, and every other facet of their being.

They will then violently insist that this version is superior to the canon one and act like they "fixed" them and it's like. Buddy that's not the same character anymore. That's just your own oc commiting identity fraud. Like. I get the desire to experiment with different interpretations of a story. But first of all it's okay to just make an original character if that's what you really want to do. And second of all, are you even really a fan of the character you "fixed" if they're a completely different person afterwards?
