They screwed Liam by hiring DeVries and then DR back keeping him in limbo, then promoted him too quickly, despite not having the time or patience for him to improve. They gaslit Checo about the car, they used Yuki for their Honda relationship, they used DR for publicity and I’m not gonna back any further through the looooong list of drivers they’ve discarded unfairly.

This latest placement of blame on Newey for not wanting to promote Yuki, despite him already being on gardening leave for months at the time the decision was made is laughable and pathetic.

Yeah, yeah, it’s a brutal sport, but they’ve been playing fast and loose with decency and driver’s careers for a long time. Psychology and HR have come a long way since Marko and Horner were in their prime, so it time for a cleaning of the house.

btw in regards to my last post that critique was against new Yuki fans and is specifically targeted towards those who are ignorant and don’t actually understand what it means for drivers who are POC to exist in a white-dominated sport and thus feed into racism against other POC. I know its a tiny but loud fraction of the majority.

Majority of Yukination is absolutely lovely and it’s been so wonderful to engage with them in different online spaces and see their support to Checo, especially the Japanese fans who are super loud in their love and appreciation for Checo as a driver and how he’s advocated for Yuki 💞 I know so many Checo fans everywhere especially Mexican fans also ride hard for Yuki and want to see him succeed and be happy in this sport. Love seeing the connections and warmth between two cultures who appreciate both drivers for who they are and support each other the way Checo and Yuki do 🫶
