I have to share this with you. I dreamed that Opal and Kuvira were wrestling. something like judo were the grab-grab stuff happens, the only thing i remember was that Kuvira was obviously winning and doing lots of poses where she was on top, Opal was so embarrassed, i wish it was real ;-;

i have this idea that Opal kinda had a resentment/admiration thing for Kuvira long before the airbending and the great uniting. Kuvira made everything look effortless while Opal struggled. Kuvira would take it easy on Opal and Opal would still lose. Kuvira would show off for Suyin’s attention and Opal would feel invisible. Kuvira of course, was rather clueless of her affect on Opal.

Lieutenant Kuvira Beifong of the Republic City Police Department, commander of the Seventh Metalbending Detachment uses the standard second-generation metalbender uniform with back-mounted cables and retractable blades along the forearms. Rather than a dancer’s braid or a relentlessly severe military bun, she has her hair arranged like that of her adoptive mother.
In this AU we’ve dropped Kuvira with Lin rather than Suyin. We’ll have the circumstances of this situation come up a bit later, but for now we can promise that it’s no less painful than those of the other characters.
We know that Kuvira isn’t part of the main quartet of characters, but we both like her too much to leave her out of the fun (and for me personally, the cop!Kuvira/triad!Mako possibility was too tempting to resist). Even though she’s probably the closest thing to a protagonist around here, don’t expect that she won’t get as dirty as the more criminally-oriented characters.

Pretty sure if Suvira had a theme song it would be Stacy's Mom by Fountains of Wayne. I can picture Kuvira chilling by the pool ignoring and Baatar Junior while ogling Suyin. Though, in this case, Kuvira would be twenty something. Either way, lots of comedic value.

The audacity some people have to call Korrasami and Bubbline bad representation ever since Steven Universe got big baffles me.
Like y'all realize before Korrasami and Bubbline there was uh…NOTHING, right? These shows put their foot in the door so we could GET better representation. They were not meant to be perfect in any way. They were the shapers of what comes next.
You dont have to like them but at least show a little respect for what they accomplished over the last few years.
