i like to think tails counts how many seconds it takes for thunder to roar after lightning flashes and calculates how far away it is. he’s of course incredibly familiar with the speed of sound, so it’s second nature, and knowing that the strike was 5 kilometres away makes it less scary

these three are good friends since childhood. they were in the same basketball club in town and they still regularly play even as adults.
