Mind Reading

For the folks who've said they dropped The Potato Lab series after the first couple of episodes, I urge you to reconsider. It isn't perfect, but it does develop in ways that show the strength of *character development (in a story) and how being honest with ourselves and others is a situation with which we all must face at some point. Heartbreak, pain, grief, may go hand in hand with resilience and hope but how many chances do we allow before forgiveness...what is sincerity and how do we judge it...the impulse to run away and the patience to stay...questions and nuance and fear of a repetitive past. For a rom-com drama, it's got a little more depth than the light-hearted parts would suggest. Give it a shot.

*For 12 episodes, and tbh I prefer the older 16-20 if the plot can handle it. Business Proposal was 12 episodes but the story was so tight that the writers were still able to give secondary characters meaningful interactions and personalities and how rewarding that was for viewers; most of us were rooting just as hard for them as we were for the male and female leads.

Walking through the produce section at the grocery store and spotting a pint of blueberries, does anyone else automatically think "Kerplink, kerplank, kerplunk," or is it just me?
