elder scrolls sideblog of @courtkossai because finally figure this would be good idea ! / artfight

  • basic things to know : plural and nonhuman , 25+ adult , deeply serious about love , respect , and open mind . fae (faerselves) & he (himselves)
  • special focus : will explore and poke into any lore , but sheogorath and shivering isles is area of expertise :P
  • play order : skyrim (2022) , oblivion + oblivion shivering isles (2024) , morrowind (2025) , skyrim replay (2025 in progress) , oblivion knights of the nine (2025 in progress)

Another one of my lukewarm TES takes is that Oblivion is actually a good game with touching storylines and all it takes for it to be engaging is to give it an honest try. Like yeah, it is undoubtedly, and often unintentionally, a very 'memey' game and yeah the bugs are frustrating, and the bad VA outtakes are funny, and the character models are questionable, but beyond that there's a lot of sincerity and depth which often goes unnoticed.

reference sheet fun for new duchy :)

@the-elder-polls here , for purposes of friday share - straw dolls in question , which thaliendir create to replace duchy :)

small schisms among population come from this . some believe duchy fully animate , but personalities hold back from public appearance , and stewards only follow orders . others believe absolutely not animate , and personalities just excuse to hide this , while stewards hold real power .

but really , many common folk just do not have this in forefront - whatever happen is whatever happen ! especially for new arrivals , no knowledge of duke thadon or duchess syl ...

thank you to anonymous for the suggestion! please note hlaalu, mora, dagoth, sotha, and dwemer were not included due to no longer holding the position.

only play morrowind once so far , and find discussions sometimes hard to follow , so will refrain from this poll - not enough information for proper opinion .

however , kiliban choose to go with hlaalu . experience was … up and down , for sure , but actually enjoy attention from crassius curio . far too much , really . well , at least until kiliban complete main quest and abandon society in favour of sheogorath cult .

( kiliban was also staunch abolitionist , who personally murder orvas dren and that entire racket to free everyone , so … normal hlaalu activities or something , right ? )

still put together information and have no masterposts yet , but other player characters :

original ellona , skyrim - last dragonborn , first iteration , and technically true iteration . nonverbal bosmer woman with cognitive disabilities , primarily mage , eventually marry lydia . side with imperials in civil war in hope to " change from within " , go through college of winterhold quests ( totally unwrite arch-mage part though ) , complete main quest and defeat alduin . would meet sheogorath in mind of pelagius ... sheogorath was not too happy .

ellona ii , skyrim - only name as ellona ii to differentiate save files . this is ellona , just ... again . sheogorath take mind for playground - real ellona is comatose at home , while mind of ellona journey through everything all over again ... and slowly diverge , as knowledge inform changes in choices and very mindsets . this replay is not yet complete , and may not be properly complete because honestly find hard to replay skyrim , but much more aggressive towards thalmor this time and less tolerant of nonsense .

dhajan , oblivion knights of the nine - specifically to play through knights of the nine - no main quest involvement at all , and sort of concurrent with thaliendir ! redguard knight , intersex man , big complex swirl of feelings - crave people and affection , distrust people and turn away affections , want to be holy and noble and righteous , want to be selfish and to be centre of love . again , not complete yet , still need to hunt down relics first .

really hope to include these two in gala event , as well - and lydia will be right there with ellona . :)

( also hope for dhajan to make some real friends ! )

actually quite emotional right now about knights of the nine - as in , actual ghostly knights who meet during quest .

just eat all of this up .

✨Sheogorath🦋

MAN I finally made a Sheogorath design that I didn’t hate

Some things to note:

  • His head floats and is the only fleshy thing about him
  • His body is an hourglass (make your jokes now) and counts down to the next Greymarch
  • His limbs are porcelain
  • Not sure yet if his butterfly wings are functional or just a cape
  • I just wanted to redo his staff design

Not intensely excited to redo those porcelain and suit patterns in the future but I’m happy with them now and that’s the biggest win :]

Sketch + Lineart below!

Shame and Secrets themed OC Ask Game

A bit of a specific one, but I couldn’t get this idea out of my mind…I like when oc questions are very prying. I tried to make them more serious as it goes along. Send in a number (or multiple) and and oc and I’ll answer!

  1. Does your oc have any secrets? Whats their biggest one?
  2. Does your oc have any embarrassing memories?
  3. Is there any weird habits your oc has?
  4. Are there any secrets your oc has shared with other characters? If so, who, and what secrets?
  5. How good is your oc at keeping secrets?
  6. How does your oc react to being told someone else’s secret? Do they lock it up tight, or spread it around?
  7. How honest is your oc’s personality? Do they act how they feel, or do they tend to put up a front?
  8. What’s something that your oc is insecure about? Something that someone could say to them that would really get under their skin?
  9. How much shame does your oc feel about themself or their past? Do they brush stuff off and feel carefree, or stay up at night recounting mistakes?
  10. Is there anything your oc wants or likes that they have to keep secret, like a guilty pleasure? Anything that would get them ostracized, attacked, or just insulted for saying it out loud?
  11. If your oc could go back in time and change one moment from their life, would they, and what moment would they change?
  12. If your oc had one day of their life where they were being monitored for a full 24 hours, and they knew this, what would they change about their routine?
  13. If your oc had one where they could do anything without being caught, what would they do?
  14. Has your oc ever done anything illegal or immoral?
  15. How far would your oc go to keep their secrets secret? How low would they stoop?
  16. Could your oc be effectively blackmailed with any of their secrets?

thaliendir as 4th era sheogorath take some clips from previous and other canonical incarnations , especially in this formal outfit . fun idea to put some of those together !

  • always know that want eyes to end up skyrim-esque - pale irises still visible .
  • eye decorations come straight from shivering isles DLC sheogorath .
  • 4th era sheogorath wear one single glove , opposite side of DLC sheogorath .
  • word for leg thing slip mind , but obviously share that idea in common too .
  • stripes of pants and shirt both come from bardic statue in base game oblivion .
  • waistcoat is ... well , different shapes and execution , but still ! that was basis .
  • OK , cravat is in shivering isles design too , but white one is from skyrim .

as well , some small elements match up with 4th era haskill design :)

OC fact game: when I made my first bosmer OC, I had no idea about the green pact. But I made her a huge meat enthusiast who ended up in Skyrim because she was ostracized for being such a huge fan of meat who really loved killing. After learning about the green pact I realized that liking meat and killing people was not that weird for a bosmer, so now it's part of her lore that she lies to everyone about why nobody likes her.

Avatar

you accidentally lored and thats magnificent. i had no idea about it either for at least a year into being a fan

oc fact for fact: essa doesn't hide her adherence to the green pact whatsoever, even when it weirds people out. she just thinks they need to get over it.

ooogh , never really happy with how green pact seem to have mainly one universal interpretation … know there is explanation , but still dislike that - bias which will become clear . :P

so ! thaliendir grow up in community near valenwood-cyrodiil border , and imperial visits fairly frequent . this community was less strict overall on terms - sometimes backburn , trim , or even harvest is necessary for health of plants . do not get greedy , of course , but this will not mark for divine punishment .

now this is not all because of imperial influence , but certainly have influence over pantheon , which would place more importance on figures like mara and stendarr than heartland communities , and sort of skew lens on other deities .

additional thought - maybe y'ffre is not so concern with idea that bosmer follow any particular interpretation of rules , but rather that bosmer understand and commit to individual interpretations - whether or not those align with family and other communities alike . just hate trope that every touch upon nature is horrible misdeed - bah , just say that never live in countryside and be off ! >.>

certainly some communities can and will be very strict - even to point that refusal of these actions harm plant life - but not all strict to same degree . those who reject outright though , that is moreso problem with y'ffre .
