With today's post, I would like to discuss some of the goals I have for myself this year. It's okay if I do not get all of them accomplished, but I personally would like to get as many as I can.

Personal: Watch a new movie a week - different genres; be consistent with my daily routine; master three new hobbies - workout, posting influential content, and learning new languages; eat a healthy diet; read all the books on my shelf before August; write one poem a day + write half a chapter a day

Mental: focus on myself; fight for what I want; work hard no matter what; surround myself with people I love; practice gratitude

Physical: 3 piercings - two helixes and a flat; upgrade wardrobe; grow nails and lashes; workout everyday; whiten teeth; get rid of dark and baggy under eyes; perfect posture

Academics: study everyday; ask questions when needed; limit all distractions; >top 10% of class; get only As and Bs on assignments

Habits: Journal; plan weekly; practice guitar; self care; read; less spending

Retyping these will hopefully help keep these goals in mind whenever I want to do something productive or if I am bored. I will be designing a weekly routine to try and incorporate each of these goals into my everyday life, so by the end of the year I will have accomplished all of them.

Being the best version of yourself doesn't always mean you have your life together. You may see someone at school, on social media, or out anywhere with her hair done, her outfit all perfect, her skin flawless, and think her life is all put together. But in reality, we don't entirely know what's behind the scenes. She may look all put together, but maybe she's not. This is what I got from researching how to be the best version of yourself and the steps I'll be taking in order to do so.

  1. Identify your values - Values give a better understanding of what you stand for and believe in as a person. For me this would include equal rights, a better education system, being kind to others no matter what, and free speech.
  2. Set a few realistic goals - Too many goals are hard to keep track of and can easily become unbearable. My goals include: losing 20 pounds in four months, getting my grades up to a B or above, and making move than $10k by August.
  3. Develop motivation and discipline - Discipline is pushing through an activity you are unmotivated to do. The way I will be trying to push through and develop discipline is either rewarding myself for getting through a task or thinking about my future self and how I don't want to let her down.
  4. Have a main goal - There's always a main goal that connects all the itty bitty little goals together; in this case it would be becoming the best version of myself.
  5. Track progress - This can show how far along you are on your self-growth journey. There are many things you can use to track any progress, but I will be using apps that count how many days I haven't done / used certain things, and apps that can help create healthy habits.
  6. Understand the process - Keeping in mind that not every person is the same, results don't come right away, and expecting to jump in and be your best self on the first day is nearly impossible. Make sure to understand change comes with time.
  7. Keep up with routines - Make sure to create routines for everything, including nightly and morning skincare, one for each room, a homework routine, one for working out, etc. Make one for everything that comes to mind.
  8. Move daily - Whether it be having a weekly workout routine or just walking a certain amount of steps everyday, make sure you continue being active. If you aren't you can feel drowsy and unmotivated, depressed, and discouraged. I will be working out and getting steps in throughout the week. I will be posting my workout routine I will be following.
  9. Self care - This is my favorite time of the day. Make sure to do selfceare morning and night, even if you don't feel like it. At least make sure to wash your face. I have been decent at keeping up with my skincare routine, and I will be posting this shortly also.
  10. Reduce screen time - Spending less time on the phone means more time to focus on you and what you love to do. It can get rid of so much toxicity, such as body dysmorphia, jealousy, and depression. When you are on the screen, make sure to take in positive content and get rid of negativity. Currently, my screen time is around 7-9 hours a day (unfortunately my screen time wasn't turned on in my phone so I had to estimate).
  11. Choose growth over comfort - When you are living in your comfort zone, you're relaxed but not getting many life experiences. When you choose growth over being comfortable, you realize that stepping out of that comfort zone will bring you confidence, more curiosity and wonder about the world, which can lead to discovering more.
  12. Get rid of toxicity - This includes many things such as any form of drug usage, fake friends, negative energy, and toxic individuals in general. Getting rid of these things will make you understand you are worth way more than any item, person, and thought, and can overcome any tough decisions.
  13. Eat healthy - This one can be a tad tricky, but can be pretty easy to get a hang of; it's all in training yourself and your mind. I like to pretend I am that best version of myself and eat whatever she eats. I know this is hard for some people especially if the kinds of foods you get are all in control of what your parents by (trust me I get it), just make sure you're getting your calories in, not eating as much sugar, and getting protein in. I will be posting recipes in the future.
  14. Meet your future self - Get to know who you want to become. You can do many journaling prompts, meditate, etc. Just take some time to think deeply about who your ideal self is. Think about it in detail. What's your job? Where do you live? Do you have any kids, a husband/wife? Any pets? What's your favorite color? Coffee shop? Be in as much detail as you can, and plan your life from there. Make sure not to make too many goals to get there; up to three is fine at once. My dream self is an attending psychiatrist with two children, a husband, a cat and dog, living in a biggish house in Wyoming. My favorite colors are still pink, white, and gold. I love going to Starbucks. This is my dream self and will be my main goal.

Keep in mind not everybody is the same and will do different things to become their best selves. This is just a template you can use when / if you need to. I hope this helps you guys out; if you have any questions or recommendations for future posts, you can comment, DM me, and/or send me an ask. Have a great morning/night!

Hey guys, it's been a minute so I thought I would give y'all a little update. Okay, maybe not little. I haven't been very active since the beginning of this school year so I think I am going to start there.

For my senior year of high school I had wanted to go all out; take a lot of higher level courses, join a lot of extracurriculars, etc etc.... So I did. I registered for Honors Anatomy, Choir (I've been in since seventh grade), AP Statistics, Mentorship, and American Sign Language (my fourth class for ASL); I've also joined Student Council, Science Club, and recently got inducted into the National Honors Society, which I have been working since seventh grade to get into.

I had started applying to four colleges, and gotten accepted into three of those. I am now committed to one of these colleges. I submitted my enrollment fee, got my email account set up, my school portal set up, and almost got my housing and meal plan information submitted; I'm just waiting for my potential roommate to say she's committed.

I've recently gotten myself into a rut (well, I can't say recently - it's been like that since the school year started lol), so I am in the process of getting out of this. I'm not sure what I am going to do for motivation quite yet, but I'm still working on it. I think I am going to make this account about my growth journey; I know I have grown a lot this past year, but there is also A LOT more I could do to become the best version of myself. I will make a list of my goals in order to do this in a different post. With that, I will try to post more on all of my platforms: my instagram main account, a separate instagram account for inspiration and things I love doing (like an influencer but cooler because I'm me :)) lol), on my TikTok by posting my poems, maybe creating a second TikTok for "influencer" type stuff if it's safe to do so from the TikTok ban, post more things on my three different Tumblr accounts lol, Pinterest, Lemon8, and potentially WattPad if I can.

I am applying for a second job; I'm keeping my current one for on weekends, and am trying to get another job closer to my home so I can work three days of the week after school. So I'll be just a tad busier but that's alright. As long as I have two days between each job to recover. But during summer I am planning on working more, but also make some time for some cool plans that I will also be sharing with you all in a different post.

Currently, I am struggling with overthinking due to college, financing, and life overall. I didn't really think how much money it would cost to become a psychiatrist. But in the end I will be okay, it'll just be a struggle for a minute.

I hope y'all are doing well; I'll be trying to post hopefully on the daily, hopefully on every platform. If it interferes with school and my work, though, then I might miss a day or two. It was nice posting for y'all again; I hope you have a great night/day/etc. Byeee!

when i gget in my bed before sleep i tend to assess whati have around me (blanket, pillow, other pillow, long pillow, blahaj, n any clothes i have lying around in my bed) and snuggle them and pretend theyre my partners and/or anyone else i want to cuddle and i assign the object a person in particular and i change it up like every night. yeah

Hey guys I’m back it’s been a long minute, I see a lot of yall changed your username 😭 but that’s okay I’ll figure it out eventually. I was gone a bit cuz my mental health was getting really bad, I’m sorry I didn’t warn you guys first. But butttt now I’m feeling better and I’m starting to love myself more and my confidence level is increasing. I’m going to start doing more of the things I love etc etc

It’s nice to be back

i love that the popularity of tumblr posts have no correlation to their quality. it could say "jorking it to the tardis vwoorp noise" and you look and it has 200000 notes
