Hey, writeblrs. Bet you didn’t see us coming. What’s that? You don’t know #THEWRITEBLRHIVE? Let me tell you about it!

#THEWRITEBLRHIVE is the writeblr family of 1 lucky bastard named @tsainami. Who! Has had the funnest few months writing with her hive family. That’s me, by the way. I’m @tsainami (aka Sai). For a few months now, my family has been running a variety of events in our tiny lil fam server. And what have we gotten out of it so far? Only thousands upon thousands of words written as we’ve competed against each other (not as aggressively as this might sound) repeatedly. There’s been a reward system. Our bees have won things like book covers, audiobook snippets & - most importantly! - server trophies for the Brag! Even now, we’re still working on finishing full drafts.
Can you imagine? Even now -  September, month of stressful semesters - we’re still kicking!

Why am I telling you this, you might wonder? Well! It’s because we’re bringing some of our events up here on writeblr live. You can expect many things from us. And the best part is: it won’t be too much - as we plan these things keeping every one’s busy schedules in mind. 

So, writeblr. Are you ready for #THEWRITEBLRHIVE? Because we’re now coming to you live!

OUR NOVEMBER ISSUE HAS ARRIVED — READ HERE

The sixth issue of Red Bean Press, a zine focused on highlighting the writing community on Tumblr, is out! This month we wanted to emphasize the central role that food and recipes have in our lives. 
As always, we’re immensely thankful for our readership. We hope you enjoy the pieces in this issue, and we hope to see you in our December issue as well!

‘Sometimes–’ he starts. ‘– I used to think of walking in,’ he doesn’t look at her, eyes vacant as they scan the other side of the lake, dark in the distance, tree line ragged, all liquid shadows, begging them to come closer. ‘Just–’ he makes a vague gesture at the water, tide calm. ‘–walk in, see what happens next.’

‘You drown,’ Wynona says hoarsely.

‘Maybe,’ he nods. Voice light, echoing like a mausoleum.

She grips his hand tightly, as if to stop him from walking in, if he were to right now. She doesn’t doubt he would, he seems like he would.

camp haunted hive — day one ; blood pact

The hike up to Gabriel’s Horn is a long one, seemingly gets longer each time Noble makes it. Woods lush around them, ground simmering with summer heat. Sneakers slipping as they trek up the rocky path, they count their steps, murmuring the numbers under their breath. It’s another hour until sundown, behind them St. Clemens bathes in the warmth of a low summer sun. Picturesque, but only from a safe distance.

as summer draws to a close and autumn makes herself known, coloring leaves burning. CAMP HAUNTED HIVE opens her doors. with her creaking cabins and pebble beaches. she welcomes her bees with a bloody grin and unblinking eyes. 
there’s whispers of the forest being haunted, voices at night, howling caught in autumn storms. there’s rumors of something living in the lake, all aching talons and razor sharp teeth. 
will you survive the last of summer? or will you fall victim to the hunger of the hive.
