Be quiet 🤫 😶 He's sleeping..
Really like this piece!! You can actually find this place in the game (almost the same ÷)
the world needs to see this tweet
Keep scrolling guys we’re almost there
been listening to the knuckles raps from sa2 while pretending to not know the music is from a video game and i highly recommend the experience. really good from the perspective of a normal rapper who talks about ghosts trying to kill him and his ability to telepathically detect gemstones in the earth
i did this once while driving a classmate who knew nothing about sonic to college and she said in full seriousness ‘it’s so sad that he feels like he can’t depend on anyone but himself’
this image just tickles me in a certain way like... not 'as hard as i can' but as soon.. he is too busy to laugh right now and he doesnt know when he will be available but he'll try to squeeze it in
so guys...do we feel "great again" yet?
This is actually an OP time to have gotten a degree in international economics (like me) cause when ignorant idiots start regurgitating the talking points they've been forcefed about tariffs I can look at them and be like "mk so here's all the ways you're wrong..." and if they argue I can be like hm okay where is your economics degree? Do you have any actual idea what the fuck you're talking about or are you letting the stupid ideas they're shoving up your ass fuck you so hard they come all the way back out your mouth?
Actually it's really easy to argue with those fucks and I'm gonna teach you how cause it's fuckin easy.
WE HAVE DONE THIS BEFORE!!!
WE HAVE DONE THIS MASSIVE SWEEPING TARIFF SHIT BEFORE!!!!
AND GUESS WHAT??? IT DIDN'T FUCKING WORK!!!! IT ACTUALLY MADE THE ECONOMY WORSE!!!!!
Let me introduce you to the Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act of 1930. Intended to be a protectionist tariff act to protect American businesses during the Great Depression, it actually WORSENED the depression in America and led to other countries implementing reactionary tariffs that led to both American imports AND EXPORTS dropping by 67%.
I'm going to let this bit from the Wikipedia page speak for itself:
And guess what? Economists have been screaming about how bad these tariffs are going to be too, even before the announcement yesterday, but this administration is going forward with them anyway!!!
This is not 4-D chess, this is not "small hurt in the short run for gains in the long run." It's stupidity and an inability to learn from our history.
To end this thread on a more optimistic note, it's worth pointing out that Hoover lost re-election in 1932 to FDR and we got the New Deal out of it which pulled us out of the depression, established social security, and expanded labor rights. I'm hoping the same sort of thing will happen here.
sometimes when I’m being especially self deprecating and convinced no one likes me I have to tell myself “you’re being goob. you are being goob right now”
