hear me out for a sec- both of them are extremely controvorsial , claim to make "deep" art but in the end it comes off as fetishy (like the poison scene from hazbin hotel and then mel's song 'teacher's pet' where its supposingly about grooming but its really just some gross teacher x student wattpad fanfic PLUS she did the wap dance while performing...?)
not to mention viv got raphielle ii , somebody with a non-con fetish to storyboard the infamous poison scene , which is about rape. melanie got elita harkov , somebody who (allegedly) did cam girl related things that was real pedo-bait , to be the victim in teacher's pet.
both viv & melanie claim their art is for adults only but are also fully aware that their fandom is made up of a bunch of younger kids. those kids are always deemed as "weird edgy gacha life kids" (nothing against gacha , just using it as an example)
speaking of fandoms- both of the fandoms are EXTREMELY toxic and hateful (like the hazbin fandom that bullied somebody into suicide over a ship...and the melanie fandom who bullied timothy heller off the internet just for speaking up about s/a)
if you were to criticize either of the women , the fandom will come at your throat and come up with any bullshit exuse to defend their favorites. both are always protected from criticism or overall different opinions with the classic "your just trying to find an exuse to cancel them" exuse.
the fandom claims to care about sa...yet viv stans wont listen and will harass sa victims who dont like poison...and the mel stans shut anybody up who bring up melanie's sa allegations.
the fandom claims to care about racism...yet there were alastor cosplayers caught doing blackface...and melanie's stans bullied her now ex boyfriend verde (a black man) and made racist comments to him.
and not to mention they have some of the biggest dickriders (ayyylmao and sullivan sweeney)
i say this all as a now 18 year old who was 13 and huge into both of them. maybe im looking way too deep into this but this has been bothering me and i had to clear my thoughts.
