The development of hyperpigmentation can be attributed to various factors, such as exposure to sunlight, fluctuations in hormones, instances of inflammation, and the usage of specific medications. using various acids to treat hyperpigmentation Melanin, the pigment that gives our skin its color, holds significant importance. However, when melanocytes, the cells responsible for melanin production, become hyperactive or damaged, they produce an excessive amount of melanin. This surplus leads to the development of dark spots and patches on the skin, known as hyperpigmentation. These areas of hyperpigmentation can vary in size, shape, and intensity, and can appear on any part of the body. It is important to distinguish between different types of hyperpigmentation, as the treatment approach may vary. Three of the most common types are melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and age spots. Hormonal changes often serve as the trigger for melasma, which is characterized by the presence of larger, symmetrical patches on the face. In contrast, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation usually occurs after an injury or inflammation, such as acne or a cut, and presents as small, dark spots. Sun exposure is usually the primary cause of age spots, also known as liver spots, which can be observed as small, flat spots ranging from light to dark brown. These spots typically appear on sun-exposed areas of the skin. Having a clear understanding of the root causes of hyperpigmentation can aid in choosing the most suitable treatment methods. When your skin is exposed to the sun's harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays, it stimulates excessive melanin production, resulting in the appearance of dark spots. Hormonal changes, particularly during pregnancy or while taking certain medications, are another significant cause of dark spots. These changes can stimulate the production of melanin, resulting in the appearance of dark patches on the skin. Inflammation and skin injuries, such as acne, are additional factors that can lead to hyperpigmentation. When the skin undergoes inflammation or experiences trauma, it triggers an overproduction of melanin as a part of its healing response. Additionally, specific skincare products or treatments that irritate the skin can stimulate the development of dark spots. To avoid triggering hyperpigmentation, it is important to exercise caution and choose gentle, non-irritating products. Hyperpigmentation occurs in various forms, each presenting with its own unique characteristics and having specific underlying causes. Understanding these different types is crucial in determining the appropriate treatment approach for your particular condition. The commonly encountered types of hyperpigmentation are melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), sunspots, and age spots. Melasma, a common form of hyperpigmentation, primarily affects women and is commonly triggered by hormonal changes, such as pregnancy or the use of birth control pills. It is characterized by the appearance of brown or gray patches on the face, specifically on the cheeks, forehead, and upper lip. Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) arises due to inflammation or damage to the skin. It can be caused by acne, burns, cuts, or even aggressive skincare procedures. PIH manifests as dark spots or patches that are usually temporary but can endure for months or even years if not treated. Sunspots, also referred to as solar lentigines, develop due to extended exposure to the harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays of the sun. They commonly manifest as flat, brown spots on areas of the body that are regularly exposed to the sun, such as the face, hands, and shoulders. Age spots, also known as liver spots, are a prevalent form of hyperpigmentation that develops as we get older. They are usually found on sun-exposed areas like the face, hands, and arms. Age spots appear as flat, tan or brown spots of varying sizes. Melasma, a prevailing form of hyperpigmentation, can be recognized by the presence of brown or gray patches on the face, particularly on the cheeks, forehead, and upper lip. The majority of windows have sashes with a groove or duct along their length called weep openings. When rainwater makes contact with these gaps, it can make the sash to leak out. When does your residence experience leaking windows? Do you realize the roots and treatment methods? The following many important methods on proven methods to deter home windows from dripping when it rains: Gauge if your own Windows are dripping The primary thing to do is to decide if your windows are really seeping. To do this, you will want to utilize a flashlight and have someone with you who can open and close the window when required. You can also use a short piece of paper and attach it to the window frame. When it is raining heavily, you will feel that the paper becomes moist after only a few seconds. If the paper remains dried out, then your windows are certainly not leaking. If they are seeping, you need to find the places from where water is moving into your home. You certainly can do this by making use of a mop to clean up the zones somewhere around the window and looking for moist spots. The second thing to do is to take a look at the seals of the windows. If the sash is loosely fitted, it will have the capacity to close properly on account of the water pressure and will right after that drip from the weep holes. If the sash and frame are not appropriately tightened up, then they will become slack over time as they get wet. Therefore, the sash won't truly close, and the water pressure will go down on the frame, causing it to leak. Apply a Weather-Resistant Coating to Windows Frames Another way to avoid windows from leaking is by utilising weather-resistant or waterproof window frames. The Argument for More Storage Space on 4K-Capable Gaming Consoles

This week the guys raise the issue of 4K console storage capacities. In light of recent news that there is a strong possibility the 4K version of Forza Motorsport 7 will be around the 100Gb mark, the guys question the included storage offered in consoles targeting 4K games and ask if this is something that needs a little reconsideration.

Back in the day, let’s say 2010, the Xbox 360 S came with a 250 Gb hard drive – an ample amount of space for the time as most big titles came in at around under 8Gb. As an example in 2010 we got some great games such as Red Dead Redemption – 7.46 GB and Call of Duty Black Ops – 7.66GB. This size was average for the time with the odd game – such as Mass Effect 2 -weighing in at more than this with a staggering (for the time) 13.23 GB.

Wanna know why your gaming laptop is burning up all the time? Be sure to read The Gamer Collective’s piece on why gaming laptops get so hot to find out why it happens and how to remedy it.

Taking the average as 8GB for a top tier game at this time this meant that your included storage would allow you to install 31 games of this size onto your included internal disk (sizes taken from the Microsoft Store).

Now as we enter the 4K arena, it makes sense that install sizes are going to be larger to take into account all those extra shiny bells and whistles that are added and so with a game like Forza 7 looking like it will take a 100GB slice of your storage, it doesn’t take a genius to work out that at 1TB of internal storage provided in the box (like the Xbox One X that Major Nelson recently showed to Geoff Keighly at E3), this is only going to give gamers room for 10 games before it’s time for a further investment in an external drive to house the over-spill.

Of course, using an external drive has it’s benefits. You don’t have to do that transfer of data when you get a new console, you can just plug it in and it’s all there and that is fantastic. It’s quick and it’s elegant.

Storage is also fairly cheap and readily available with 4TB external drives going for around the £120 mark on Amazon and the relatively cheap price makes it even more surprising that a larger drive as standard has not been introduced.

The question is, is this something that we are ready for? Is the fact that the 1TB size of the included disk in current 4K targeting consoles is a fair assumption of how much data the consumer is going to need?

Plus, is the task of factoring in the price of an external hard drive becoming a necessity as opposed to a luxury something that gamers should be expected to be adding in to their new console budgets?

Listen in and hear the guys discuss not only this but much more.

This week in the What We’ve Been Playing section, Daz took Antony’s advice and got himself a copy of Ori and the Blind Forest having passed it by upon release. Listen in to hear Dazza overflow with love for a game that he could have missed, a real gem of challenge, beauty and the most wonderfully tight controls that is now up there with his most loved games.

Antony, chats about boldly going nowhere fast when Daz is on board the crew in Star Trek Bridge Crew as the guys cross play and join PSVR and HTC Vive in Ubisoft’s social sci fi simulator and gives us his view on Telltale’s latest episode of Guardians of the Galaxy.

As the dust settles on another amazing E3, we look back at what games grabbed the most interest during the show and thanks to YouTube, who kept a tally of views for all of the E3 announcement trailers we have a top 10 most watched trailers.

No surprise to see that the Star Wars Battlefront 2 trailer is top of the list but interesting to see some key games not making the top ten.

Don’t forget a full Lost Spark E3 podathon is now available here and a one-stop-shop of all the important E3 trailers can be found on our ‘Essential E3 Games List’ here

In the news this week The Nintendo Switch has received its first substantial system update since launch, version 3.0.0.

The update adds a whole host of features designed to streamline or improve the experience of using the console and its menus.

The update should automatically download, but if it doesn’t, just head to Settings > System > System Update.

For a full list of improvements head over to Nintendo Support.
