I love how when you add anyone to Pearl, Scott, and Cleo's dynamic the group name is just "the # G's". Add Impulse? That's 4 G's. Add BigB? 5 G's.

Is there a limit to this phenomenon? Like, "Welcome to the Life Series, I'm here with the 18 G's-"

I've been trying to decide which fic I want to make, so I'm bothering Tumblr with it.

I've got two au ideas in my head and I want you guys to choose what I'll work on first.

1] Escape The Stags AU (wip name) wherein Scott & Xornoth try to escape an Aeor-centric cult they were born in, and find themselves reliant on a certain farm-girl for safety.

2] Death game AU (no name yet) where winning is a subjective term for contestants. To the gods, meanwhile, a mortal's consent isn't much of their concern. All they care about is who can get the most satisfaction out of a mortal's suffering? (It has switching perspectives. You'll see what povs if the fic is chosen.)

(Both are Empires SMP fics.)

Stephen King:

  • The adverb is not your friend.
  • I’m convinced that fear is at the root of most bad writing. If one is writing for one’s own pleasure, that fear may be mild — timidity is the word I’ve used here. If, however, one is working under deadline — a school paper, a newspaper article, the SAT writing sample — that fear may be intense.
  • Good writing is often about letting go of fear and affectation. Affectation itself, beginning with the need to define some sorts of writing as ‘good’ and other sorts as ‘bad,’ is fearful behavior.
  • Like your bedroom, your writing room should be private, a place where you go to dream.
  • The space can be humble … and it really needs only one thing: A door you are willing to shut. The closed door is your way of telling the world that you mean business. . . .
  • When you write, you want to get rid of the world, don’t you? Of course you do. When you’re writing, you’re creating your own worlds.
