“Like I said, just don’t get boring,” comes a deeper one. “Have fun and.. give me something to look forward to.“

a/n: an angel and a reaper fall in love; impossibilities ensue. okay ya’ll this is another one of those pieces where i am just…. stupidly happy with/proud of it. idk if a lot of ppl will like this, but wow. if you do read and like it pls lemme know. idk why this one struck the chord with me so much, but – god, am i pleased with how it turned out.

zero. the strings of fate are so easily unraveled, tangling, twisting, knotting in over themselves – and all death ever has to do is wait, with patient palms and open arms for the strings to give, and they always do, eventually, beneath the weight of a world too heavy for a single life to bear –

one. the first time he sees you, it’s like seeing heaven for the very first time – literally. it’s not often that reapers are invited beyond the celestial gates, but even gods have meetings they can’t skip out on. not even for death (ha, kageyama thinks to himself, pun so fucking intended). but he remembers it perfectly, as gods are wont to do (though sometimes, it’s more a curse than a blessing – imagine not having the blissful forgiveness of forgetting), your eyes the color of a darkening sky, the shade of night just before the dawn. dark doesn’t seem to do it justice.
