The Blue Tit, Cyanistes caeruleus, has a blue cap, white cheeks, and a dark eye stripe, set against a yellow breast and bright blue wings with white bars. They are common visitors to gardens in the UK, particularly in winter, and are known for their acrobatic skills and cheerful calls.

British Birds is a limited edition collection on 100% British Bluefaced Leicester yarn. I will be taking a break to showcase existing colourways now so folk don’t lose interest due to too much newness (this is a phenomenon that seems to occur at a group rather than individual level). Please enjoy!

The Goldfinch is a vibrant bird with a striking red, white, and black head pattern, a light brown back, and wings that are black with bright yellow bars. The yarn base for our British Birds is a delightful British Bluefaced Leicester. It is a superwash treated wool that takes the dye beautifully and has lovely texture and scent. Mothyandthesquid.com

A BEAST...

man this turned out to be way more of an undertaking than I expected LOL I had such grand plans of making it an inverted twin but.... I'm kinda burnt out on this pattern for now fdshdf That said I'm pretty happy with it! It was a very "trust the process" sort of project and at a lot of stages I was like "this is gonna look so dumb" but it came together in the end.
