I think the biggest reason why I don’t make writing progress (beside me finding myself staring at a blank word document for a majority of my writing time) is that I can’t for the life of me stop editing while I’m writing. I can’t write a sentence and leave it as that, never looking back, I immediately try to change it if I’m not satisfied. I hate that but can’t turn it off 😭

Cyprian missed his friends.
Once they were four, now it was only him. He was the only one left. Alone.
And all that because of some foolish desire for more power than was already given.
He wanted to be angry at Rook, but he couldn’t be.
And that was the worst part.
It got him angry all over again, this time at himself. Being angry at himself was easier.
Cyprian told himself that he should’ve seen it. He should’ve noticed sooner and acted faster.
He shouldn’t have let his loyalty blind him like that. But he had.
They all have. Nia and Kyndra too.
Why have they been so foolish? Their love for him had blinded them. All three of them.
Nia and Kyndra gave their life for this blind love.
He had no right to blame them when he almost did the same.
It was not easy to hold on to life when everything you ever loved was gone.
But Cyprian stayed, the only one left standing. He felt like he had to.
Alone for the rest of his life. Maybe it was his punishment for his blindness. If so, then he accepted it.
But still, unlike his friends, he’d still have a rest of his life. So he would live this life as best as he could.
He felt like he owed it to those he had loved, to the people they once had been.

I think when Aiden comes to visit, he sometimes just sneaks in just to scare- I MEAN SURPRISE Henry, and Henry and Callan are like:... Not that we mind that he sneaks in, but are our guards actually doing their jobs? How does no one notice this!?XD
They do notice but they let Aiden through cause he’s the king’s little brother so by default he’s like the whole castle’s little brother and so they let his antics go xD
It’s kinda ironic that one of the four scenes I have not yet fully figured out is pretty much in the beginning of the story, meanwhile I have other scenes later in the story that I have planned out so much I shouldn’t have many troubles writing them. Maybe I should consider writing out of order after all…
