LAST DAY: DEVOTION Hyunjin sits for the test of everything he has learned from you.

2.2k (~9 min. read)

⚠ — No major warnings apply (see masterlist for more)

this final chapter feels like the kind of quiet devastation that doesn’t need to announce itself to be felt—it just settles, low and heavy, and doesn’t let go. the softness of it is what hits the hardest; it’s not loud, not dramatic, but so deliberate, like every word was chosen to land a little deeper. it’s closure, but not the clean kind—it’s messy, aching, real, and it trusts the reader to sit in that quiet space between resolution and what-could-have-been.

CHAPTER II

Hyunjin x reader. (s,a)

Synopsis: Struggling to make ends meet as an art student, Hyunjin never expected his quiet neighbor to change everything. Rumored to be an adult content creator, you offer him a deal—help you with your content, and you’ll help with his financial troubles. What starts as a simple arrangement soon blurs into something more, pulling Hyunjin into a world he never imagined. (23,4k words)

Author's note: Forgot to mention this was a late bday fic for Hyunjin. Hope you enjoy it and pls leave a feedback ♡

there’s something about this piece that feels like standing on the edge of something unnamed—soft, aching, and quietly inevitable. you write longing in a way that almost sneaks past until it crashes down, full and heavy in the chest. the pacing is slow and deliberate, every moment stretched just enough to let the emotion sink in, with nothing rushed or forced—just two people circling something too big to name. the tension doesn’t shout, it breathes, living in the pauses, the glances, the way they move around each other like they’re used to being close but still don’t know what to do with the weight of it. and the intimacy? it’s devastating. not because it’s loud or explicit, but because it’s tender, vulnerable, and stripped of anything performative. you make the act of wanting feel both holy and unbearable, and what’s most powerful is how you trust the silence to do the talking. you never over-explain, never push too hard—you just let it ache. it’s stunning, it’s human, and it stays long after the last line. masterful, absolutely dug in reading this 🧡

Author's note: I know, I know, it's another painter Hyunjin fic but I hope you enjoy this one too. Let me know what you think of it ♡

the emotional layering in this is insane—every word soaked in memory, tender and sharp all at once. there’s this quiet heaviness that doesn’t weigh it down but grounds it, letting the unspoken hang heavier than what’s said. you blur past and present so seamlessly it feels like one continuous ache, tangled with want, guilt, softness, and restraint—and that restraint is what makes it so powerful. you let moments breathe, let silence speak, and somehow make everything hit harder without ever pushing too far. the characters feel raw, real, like every movement and reaction has been earned, and the vulnerability never feels performative—it just is. it’s the kind of writing that doesn’t beg to be noticed, just quietly wrecks you if you’re paying attention. absolutely masterful. and im extremely proud of you my dear effie 💛

CHAPTER II.

Bangchan x reader. (s,f)

Chapters: Chapter I

Synopsis: As a researcher developing a specialized condom in extra large sizes, you never expected the company’s product manager, Chris, to volunteer as a test subject—let alone for things to get this complicated. Balancing professionalism with undeniable chemistry, you must navigate a partnership that’s strictly business… or so you keep telling yourself. (19,8k words)

Author's note: Hope you can handle the amount of cockiness in this one. Pls share your thoughts on it after, enjoy ♡

you have this way of making tension feel inevitable—like it’s not just something happening between them, but something that was always meant to. it’s in the way they move, the way they speak, the way they don’t say the things they both know are there. every interaction feels like a game, but not one either of them truly wants to win, because dragging it out? that’s the real thrill.

this chapter has teeth. it’s sharp, electric, crackling with this undercurrent of something just restrained enough to make it unbearable in the best way. the way you handle tension here—it’s not just about what’s said or done, it’s about what’s underneath. it’s the kind of dynamic where every interaction feels like a game, but the stakes are so much higher than either of them are willing to admit.

CHAPTER II

I.N x reader. (s,a)

Chapters: Chapter I

Synopsis: In the quiet halls of the church and the secrecy of the night, boundaries are tested, faith is questioned, and desires threaten to consume both you and Jeongin. Some sins are easy to resist—others, once tasted, become impossible to forget. (17,4k words)

Author's note: Hot priest Jeongin returns! Please enjoy this one too and leave a feedback ♡

this chapter aches—not in a loud, obvious way, but in something slower, something that lingers beneath every glance, every breath, every hesitation. it’s charged, so charged, but it never tips into excess. you let the tension speak for itself, let it coil tight in the spaces between words, in the way they move, in the weight of everything unsaid. it’s this careful balance of restraint and inevitability, like something teetering on the edge of collapse but not quite falling.

Author's note: This is a verrrrry late Jeongin bday fic. Have holy water ready near you and hope you enjoy it ♡

this chapter feels hungry—not in an obvious, desperate way, but in something quieter, something that lingers beneath every movement, every pause. it’s a slow, deliberate kind of want, the kind that isn’t spoken out loud but is so deeply felt. you write tension like it’s second nature, letting it simmer just under the surface, never too much, never too little—just enough to keep it thrumming in the background, impossible to ignore.

FINAL CHAPTER: TASTE.

Lee Know x reader. (s,a)

Synopsis: When Minho is hired as the head chef of Farfalle, a prestigious Italian restaurant, expectations are high for him to elevate its reputation and bring it to new heights. However, no one anticipates the drastic changes he implements in the kitchen—including his strict rule that that there'll be no women and no romance in his kitchen. (10,2k words)

Author's note: Can't believe it's the end already. Thank you so much to each and everyone of you for following Taste series ♡

this chapter feels like standing too close to an open flame—warm enough to pull you in, but dangerous if you get too close. there’s this constant, throbbing tension woven into every moment, and the way you write it? it’s not just something you read; it’s something you feel. it’s in the pauses, the way sentences stretch just a little too long, the weight of what isn’t being said pressing against every interaction.

Author's note: Consider this as my Valentine's gift for you, cuties. I truly hope you enjoy this chapter and don't forget to share your thoughts on it ♡

there’s something so intimate about the way you write—not just in what’s being said, but in everything simmering underneath. every word feels like it’s holding back something bigger, like there’s an entire storm behind a carefully closed door, and we’re only getting the parts that slip through the cracks. and honestly? that makes it hit harder.

okay, but seriously—your writing has this texture to it, like something you can almost taste, which feels ironic considering the theme of this piece. there’s this quiet, creeping intensity in the way you build tension, not just between the characters but in the air itself. it’s in the pauses, the unsaid things, the weight of every glance and movement. nothing feels accidental. every word is placed with such precision that you don’t just read it—you feel it settle into your bones.

there’s this quiet devastation running through the chapter, like something fragile pressed too hard between the lines. it’s not dramatic or loud—it’s subtle, simmering just under the surface, which somehow makes it hit even harder. the tension feels lived-in, like it’s been there long before we arrived, and we’re just catching a glimpse of it unraveling in real-time. it’s the kind of writing that makes you feel like an intruder, like you’re seeing something you’re not supposed to, but you can’t look away.

okay, so this piece is honestly genius. like, the way you’ve layered so many undertones into what initially seems like such a simple scene? i’m obsessed. there’s this undercurrent of tension throughout—this almost bittersweet, lingering ache that you never fully name, but it’s there, and it’s so palpable i could feel it in my chest. i swear, every line feels like it’s doing double duty, like there’s the surface-level meaning but then this whole world of subtext beneath it, and it’s impossible to read without feeling like you’re being let in on some secret you don’t fully understand but want to.

hyunjin's interlude | super bored chapter 5

pairing: hyunjin x f!reader | word count: 11.4k | genre: romance | warnings: angst (heavy) ; heartbreak ; depression ; mild themes of jealousy ; distance between lovers ; explicit sexual and adult content. reader discretion is always advised as this work contains themes that might be sensitive to some.

He thought about it, about those words he dreaded so much, words he hadn’t had the chance to taste on his tongue yet. All this time they had remained buried in his chest but not like the treasure they ought to be, rather like a nuclear biohazard, slowly contaminating their surroundings.  “I miss someone.”

there’s something about the way you write that feels so… intimate. it’s like every sentence is whispering something just for me to catch, something that feels small and quiet but carries so much weight. this chapter, especially, is such a perfect balance of the mundane and the meaningful—like how you can take something as simple as a moment of boredom and turn it into this deep dive into hyunjin’s headspace. the way you write him feels so human. not just the perfect idol version, but someone with layers, flaws, and those quiet cracks that make him real.

Author's note: Your reservation at Farfalle is ready. Hope you enjoy it! Don't forget to leave a 5-star review ★

your writing is absolutely intoxicating. every word feels deliberate, every scene simmering with tension that never quite spills over—at least not in the way i expect, which makes it all the more addictive. i don’t know how you do it, but this story lives. it breathes in its silences, in the pauses between the characters’ words, in their smallest gestures. there’s this delicious sense of restraint running through it, like everything is on the verge of unraveling, but you’re holding it together just tightly enough to keep me on edge. it’s honestly kind of genius.

I Still Want You

-> Minho questions his decision to call things off after seeing you with someone else

  • ex!minho x fem!reader
  • ex friends w/ benefits, angst, lovers to strangers, break up!au
  • 3.5K
  • warnings: past sexual relationship, cursing, kissing, toxic pining
  • pls enjoy this repost from my old blog while I work on something actually original lol

Minho doesn't catch feelings. He's just not the type.

You on the other hand...

It didn't take long to fall for that laugh, those eyes, his hands that feel up your thighs and sit you on his kitchen table just to press his body against yours like it was made to. Those lips that worship your skin and send sparks of fire to every fingertip, every joint.

His smile is your favorite, but you'd never tell him directly. Just telling Minho he's handsome is crossing a line.

And even though you're a very small, insignificant part of his day, you still want to know all about it. Unfortunately, he doesn't like to talk about himself.

"What's on your mind, ___?"

mindy, i can’t stop thinking about “i still want you.” it’s the kind of story that lingers in your chest long after you’re done reading, like a quiet ache you can’t shake. the way you write emotions is unreal—every word felt so heavy, so raw, like it was pulling from something deeply human and painfully familiar.

Much to your dismay, after a particularly stressful night of service, you start having intense and elaborate wet dreams about him that make you question a lot of things.

And judging by how knowingly he smiles at you the morning after, it seems like he knows.

i just finished this and i am completely floored by this. scarlet, it’s absolutely shocking how you built chan so well as a character. the two worlds of reality and fiction are shaking right now with terror.

okay, so i just finished reading taste and honestly, i need a moment to recover because this fic hit in all the best ways. first of all, the vibe? immaculate. like, you can feel the tension in the kitchen, the heat (both literal and metaphorical), and the energy of everything happening around them. it’s so vivid, i felt like i was right there watching it all unfold.
