Another excuse to draw Beautifly Yumi I guess. Fav bug Pokemon for sure, I love using this Pokemon in Renegade Platinum!
Initially this is used only in my PMD AU thing (bc others suggest her to be either a Mienshao or Sensu Oricorio), but later on her design is also used on the core games/romhacks (mainly Renegade Platinum, Blaze Black 2 redux, Emerald Seaglass and Moemon Romhacks!).
Yumi is not as tanky as other members of my Renegade Platinum team, but she mostly assists to defeat other Pokemon, thanks to her Rivalry ability. Beautifly is a cute Pokemon by design, but according to the dex entries, same as Dustox, it's a menace to society. It's aggressive and can drain fluids from its prey with its proboscis, plus by its stats, this Pokemon is more offensive rather than the defensive counterpart.
I remember her first design was a simple sleeveless dress, but looking to the dex entries and ability, I revamped her drastically. And her newest design in 2023, she's a kunoichi— mixed with some idol elements on her layered skirt! If I designed the full body, she wears geta with black leg warmers. There's bandages on her right leg that were partially covered.
P.S. Unlike the PMD version (the scarf is Vivid Silk, a Beautifly exclusive item), in the core games/romhack version, the scarf on her neck is NOT a held item. It's just added for badassery, to show the kunoichi style! The minor change I have is to remove the flower motif on her kimono to keep the simplicity going.
