“Hey, but I’m not one to judge,” The girl laughs, placing her hands on her hips. “Who’re you? I’m Paisley. Or Pais.”
“I’m Alex, pleasure to meet you Pais” She smiles. “And you have no idea how promising a name like mine can be, at least that’s what my father thinks”
"Your father?" She says with a light smile, her eyes widening slightly in curiosity "Who's your father, then?"
“Yeah, don’t we all,” She says, placing her hands on her hips and narrowing her eyes, “But that implies that you’ve been one before. Which, actually, wouldn’t surprise me much, considerin’ all ‘ve seen.”
“I have,” She said, crossing her arms.
She stared for a moment before shrugging. "Fair 'nough. What happened? Did those grey-faces nab ya?"

“Hello! Aye, my name’s Paisley. Who’re you? What do you mean you ‘hate bein’ a teenager now’?”
“Rose,” She sighed, “An’ I hate it. That’s all,” She said, biting her lip.

The girl looks up at the man, her face twisting in confusion. “You okay?” She asks, giving him a light hug.
Lawrence returned her hug half-heartedly. “Thanks. I’ll be all roight.”
“Yeah, but you look upset,” She said, pulling away. “So either you’re practicing for a part in the play or somethin’s wrong.”
“I don’t wanna burden ya wif me problems.”
"Hey, you're not a burden at all," She frowned, crossing her arms over her chest. "I won't prod, but I know when somethin's up."
