  1. “And with Him Came the West” is a 2019 documentary about Wyatt Earp’s personal involvement in Hollywood and his legacy in film showing excerpts of most of these, plus “Sunset”(1988, James Garner and Bruce Willis) and the StarTrek episode “Spectre of the Gun.”

  2. The last two Earp/Holliday movies, Tombstone and Wyatt Earp at least got the location of the gunfight right. Not at the OK Corral but in a vacant lot on Fremont Street down and back of the corral. The participans were only 8 to 10 feet apart an it was a face to face bloody shootout at almost point blank range. No diving behind shed or into ditches. None of the movies are completely accurate to us nerd historians but they are movies for our entertainment and not historical documentaries. I also thought Quaid captured the look of the cadavarous Holliday better but Kilmer had the best script. Quaid reportedly lost 45 lbs to play the part.

    1. Hey Will…great breakdown on Tombstone and Wyatt Earp. I agree with you on Quaid having the more realistic look…..Quaid’s performance is awesome as well…though Kilmer’s gets all the glory. I think a lot has to do with the movie…Tombstone is like a Marvel movie….full of fun….while Wyatt Earp is like a DC movie…filled with doom and gloom with lots of fun sucked out of it. Good feedback.
