Diddy got arrested this week for racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking with force, leading to a myriad of opinions circulating through the internet. Boosie Badazz recently addressed the arrest and his concern for the precedent it may set.
“I feel DIDDY N JAIL FOR BASICALLY DOING WHAT EVERY OTHER FAMOUS ENTERTAINER HAS DONE,” the 41-year-old rapper wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday (Sept. 18). “‘FLEW BI**HES OUT FOR 3 SOMES’ HE JUST FREAKIER.” The Baton Rouge, La., artist questioned if women who consented to be flown out and having sex with partners were to be called prostitutes; if that was the case, then he believed the label should be given to more women.
“IF THATS THE CASE THATS 80% OF THE WOMEN READING THIS .N TRAFFICKING #hellna,” he added. “YOU’RE A CELEBRITY YOU GOTTA FLY PU**Y N ,HOW ELSE U GOT GET THE PU**Y? YOURE NEVER N ONE PLACE WHEN I SAW THAT VIDEO I WAS PISSED OFF AT THIS NI**A LIKE HE REALLY GOT A PROBLEM. BUT FACING ‘LIFE N PRISON’ FOR DOING BASICALLY WHAT SO MANY OTHER ENTERTAINER HAS DONE #idisagree.”
But wait, there’s more. In a follow-up tweet less than an hour later, Boosie Badazz expressed some concern over the concept of sex trafficking. “IM STARTING TO FEEL LIKE THIS ‘SEX TRAFFICKING’ CHARGE FOR FLYING BI**HES N FOR 3 SOMES WILL BE A TOOL USED TO TAKE DOWN HIP HOP ARTIST N CELEBRITIES,” he wrote. “JUST THINK ABOUT IT ‘WHO FLYING THEY YEAH YEAHs N TO TURN UP ? WHO ALWAYS N A DIFFERENT CITY N GOTTA FLY PU**Y TO THEM? WHO AINT TRIPPING N GO GIVE THEY SEX PARTNER A LIL CHANGE ?”
He urged rappers to “think about it” because “this sh*t real.” He also tapped athletes and politicians to be careful about who they pay to travel to them, have sex with, and give money to because it could be deemed sex trafficking. Of course, the “Wipe Me Down” artist clearly didn’t fully understand what sex trafficking entailed.
The key difference between the scenarios he described and what it is, is the fact that the sex is non-consensual. Sex trafficking is often viewed as “modern slavery” because the perpetrators use manipulation, coercion, or force rather than their victims consenting to participate.
Many of Diddy’s lawsuits detail him being aggressive, abusive, and even drugging people, in addition to being accused of rape. This began in November 2023 when his ex-girlfriend Cassie filed a lawsuit for rape and sex trafficking and continued over the next several months with other alleged victims even after he and Cassie settled for an undisclosed amount outside of court.
Though things look bleak for the controversial mogul, he and his legal team maintain his innocence. “We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. attorney’s office,” his attorney Marc Agnifilo said in a statement on Monday. “Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children, and working to uplift the Black community. He is an imperfect person, but he is not a criminal.”
