Neuromorphic systems have been recognized by developed countries as the most promising research a... more Neuromorphic systems have been recognized by developed countries as the most promising research area in AI computing. However, previous studies on neuromorphic systems have mostly focused on technical details or specific devices or products, failing to actively indicate the technological focus and recent development trends. Therefore, this study used neuromorphic system patents to construct a technology network through patent technology network analysis. The results show that the technological focuses of neuromorphic systems are biological models; specific functions and applications of digital computing; and detection, measurement, and recording for diagnostic purposes. In addition, the development of medical diagnosis and measurement technology as well as equipment such as speech recognition and optical apparatuses has flourished in recent years. This study proposed a technological map of neuromorphic systems that can provide the government with valuable information for exploring development trends in this field.

This study examines numerous patent and use Intelligent clustering method try to identify appropriate patents by examining all-world patent pool cases of offshore wind power development, a form of alternative energy, and analyzing technology and patent maps. Thus, we identified a promising research direction, thereby enabling industry personnel to make technological breakthroughs in this field.

It is so complex and uncertainly, so that it is not enough to only use financial indicators for stock price prediction. As we known, patents is not only can protect the companies technologies' development and promote the advance of the core technologies, but can be used as one of the evaluation indicators to estimate the company's innovation activities. Therefore, patents have an influence on turbulence and fluctuations of companies' stock price. The aim in this study is to adopt patent and financial indicators for stock-price prediction. Thus, we collect patent and financial data as the attributes to predict the stock price by regression analysis. The experimental results show the proposed approach can accurately predict companies' stock price.

Therefore, it is essential for the researcher to track how to improve their technology and research ability in intelligent car industry area. In this research, the future development of Intelligent Car industry is discussed using patent analytic tools. First of all, related patents are searched and collated by the key words in order to determine twenty key statistic indicators. Then, six are selected among these twenty key statistic indicators by stepwise regression method for SOM (Self-organizing map) clustering use later on. Finally, according to the result from SOM clustering, the patent clusters are defined as high, mid-high, middle, or low value patents. Corresponding forecasting models are specifically designed for each value type of patents in this research for industrial researchers to evaluate strength and weakness of competitors when developing competition strategies.

Traditional researchers and analyzers have fixated on developing sundry patent quality indicators... more Traditional researchers and analyzers have fixated on developing sundry patent quality indicators only, but these indicators do not have further prognosticating power on incipient patent applications or publications. Therefore, the data mining (DM) approaches are employed in this paper to identify and to classify the new patent’s quality in time. An automatic patent quality analysis and classification system, namely SOM-KPCA-SVM, is developed according to patent quality indicators and characteristics, respectively. First, the model will cluster patents published before into different quality groups according to the patent quality indicators and defines group quality type instead of via experts. Then, the support vector machine (SVM) is used to build up the patent quality classification model. The proposed SOM-KPCA-SVM is applied to classify patent quality automatically in patent data of the thin film solar cell. Experimental results show that our proposed system can capture the analysis effectively compared with traditional manpower approach.

However, the research is still lack in the technology development forecasting. The purpose of this research is to study the technology life cycle of the telematics, and investigates the major technologies in different technology life cycle to point out technical change trends. We used logistic growth curve model and patent analysis to explore future development time phase and technology development saturation. The results indicate that telematics technology is currently in a growth phase, and until the saturation phase, the technology will have eighteen years to grow and develop. Telematics is an emerging technology and will continue to integrate the services or facilities adapted for wireless communication networks and traffic control systems in the future. We assessed telematics development phase and proposed technology development recommendations to telematics industry and government.
