A Russian gilded silver and enamel tea caddy, Antip Kuzmichev, Moscow, 1892. Of octagonal section with lobed sides, enameled with colorful stylized foliage on a gilded stippled ground, with slip-on cover and with interior cork and gilded silver stopper, the base inscribed 'Made for Tiffany & Co.'

Wonderful example of a Painted Penwork Sewing Box, all applied on white wood sycamore box with a quite beautiful shape. This is one of the best we have had for a very long time and the quality of the work is very high. It's painted all round with a mixture of beautiful flowers and green foliage.
