262K views · 3.8K reactions | “Bee” inspired! Make your own stencil! | By The Top Drawer RVA | I found this cute little end table for 30 bucks at my local Goodwill. I absolutely love the shape and wanted to do something be inspired. After a good clean throat lightening and an inspection, I made sure to rinse off any previous oils and started with a black caviar base. This is where the fun starts to happen. Anywhere that I'm going to put my little bees I'm going to paint black. This way when I paint on another colour the black will be the colour that shows through. I used my cricket to cut out some bees and some honeycombs and applied them to my piece. This is kind of my DIY stenciling. So what's the color choice for this little cutie? Well it has to be Mojave from Dixie Belle. I wanted a bright cheerful yellow to compliment the sweet little bees. I painted on two even coats of silk Mojave and then when I'm done since it has a built-in top coat I'm done. I can just walk away. This is where you can start to see my masterpiece really come to life. Going in and taking off that green sticker that was the original cricket design will reveal the cutest little bees underneath. I used my Cricut tool because you have to get in there and get out all the little tiny pieces that were stuck down. But I had really good luck in removing all of the parts of the Cricut vinyl. And that's it. My cutie patootie little bee table was complete. With just two coats of paint when silk Mojave plus that undercoat of black caviar I added a touch of black wax to the edges and I was done. Using my cricket was a perfect way to get the bees the exact size that I needed. Thanks for watching.
